Caroline on the other hand has always been my favorite. All these time she was the one who had a general idea of who's good and who's bad but this season I'm starting to dislike her.
And Klaus is much, much more worse than Damon. There's nothing good about Klaus so if Caroline still falls in love then she is not a goody goody girl that she always was.
Ok you dislike Elena in general? I respect ur pov.I have disliked her at times too, whenever she acts like a whimpering wallflower, confused damsel who always need a knight in shining armor, also her mirroring Katherine's manipulative nature though she loves proclaiming she isnt Katherine. But thankfully i am seeing Elena's character growth now..finally after 3yrs..I am not saying this cuz of any delena thing, just feel that as a vampire she is more fierce, confident and capable of taking care of her own self and her bro's ..But our perspectives must be different abt elena anyhow thats beyond the point
I agree with u about Caroline's character. The hypocrisy trait has passed on to her now.I loved her in S1 though she was insecure and all.But thats what made her realistic. She had insecurities, jealousy, inferiority issues like any other 17 yr old girl unlike Bonnie/elena.Caroline as a character got more fans when she became a vampire but i found her transition a bit rushed.Damon and stefan(still does) struggled for yrs to balance blood issues but Caroline adjusted to so easily. Her insecurity issues were supposed to be heightened but it didnt.Instead she became a mature, smart almost perfect girl.I dunno somewhere i missed the realistic stinge to her character when they made her the amazing vampire barbie and eliminated all her flaws. Her friendship with Tyler was adorable but their romantic relationship again seemed rushed.
I can see why Caroline loves stefan cuz he helped her lot during vampire transition phase. But the thing is she almost forgot about her issues with Damon in s2 and s3.She was actually on friendly terms with him after he saved her and Tyler from klaus in s2 and took a werewolf bite. But come s4 she is all anti damon(nothing wrong he did ill treat her so much initially in s1). Problem lies in the inconsistency writers showing with Caroline's cahracter. She was alright with Damon, actually gelling well with him for 2 seasons and suddenly 1 fine day her hate and revenge for Damon has resurfaced.Dunno at a point felt like writers using Caroline as a plot device 😕.Writers needed someone to call out elena and tarnish damon's character and all of a sudden they are making caroline to overreact.
Caroline supporting Stefan was in character but feeling sorry for Klaus isnt.Damon waited more than a century to regain Katherine just to realise she never loved him.He lost control, lashed out at elena by snapping Jeremy.Stefan almost drove Elena to wickery bridge and tried to murder her.Again that happened when Stefan was not in control and him behaving like a true ripper who seeks revenge. But both salvatores had some kinda reason. They didnt do it just cuz they love being 'tools'.But Klaus had uttermost selfish reasons to murder ppl including kat's entire family and jenna.Just to break a curse..him to become invincible,he didnt care who stood in his path..He didnt do it cuz he was hurt or out of control. Now he killed Tyler's mom.In my view he is worse than salvatores and nothing about him is redeemable (even under vampire stds lol). But Caroline actually developing feelings for Klaus and endorsing the idea of redemption while calling out Damon. That in my books is hypocrisy.I think the writers will have to do a lot of explanation about Caroline's double stds and change of mind before developing the love track of klaus-caroline.
I know why ppl find them interesting together! 😛Their interactions are entertaining and though i didnt dig Klaus humming bird speech many did.But at this point, the writers should stop reducing caroline to a shallow character and present the exact reasons for her sudden change.
