when husband and wives shout obsceneties at each other, or even resort to physically harming each other, or when a parent or child even says "i hate you" to their parents or vice versa.

What is worse, in all instances, physical or emotional abuse?

i think both --- first off-- if its spousal abuse or boyfriend/gf abuse.. leave them NOW.. becasue thats a glimpse into the future. no matter what ne1 says saying they just got angry and stuff.. emotional from a loved one can hurt more than nething.. talk to them about that-- don't hit ur kids.. they will rebel soo much that next thing u know you wont have ne control and they will be on the wrong track

OMG this is hilarious... UTAH....indeed. I know what you mean. But the comment really brought a smile to my face.

In my opinion. Physical abuses tend to heal after with time. But once a person is scarred emotionally it takes a lifetime to heal.
This is the case in most RAPE cases. Physically the victim gets over it. But the person lives with the fear and trauma.

EMOTIONALLY scars are deeper and take a lifetime to heal.

Essential thing to every husband,every wife and every kid!!!

Have some common sense.Don't take things seriously.If you have enough energy you too retaliate to the extent it does'nt become fatal else follow Gandhiji ,Non Violence.Be a Gandhiji or Netaji(both of them became Shahid that is different issue)!!!

Agree 1000% .. Abuse of any kind is wrong but ppl who dish out emotional abuse are cowards as it cannot be seen by anyone and therfore they can keep doing it.

Emotional abuse is as hurtful as physical abuse. In some cases it could be worse when the invisible scar caused by emotional abuse will take a long time to heal. Both kinds of abuses can lead to depression in spouse and kids turn out to be insecure, withdrawal and low in confidence.
