Episode 189 Discussion: 7th Feb 2013

Welcome to the Episode discussion thread which we call as Viewer's and Reader's Respite. That's very apt, don't you think ? 😉. And that proves our objective.

Objective behind the thread is

It helps in keeping the forum clean without much litter. People just need to fall in a habit.
We can have it like breathers at first followed by analysis.

Episode 189 Discussion - EOD Summary

Madhu bids Good Bye to all - in her token appreciation of her relationship with Radhaji, memories within RK Mansion and polite alvida to Dipali and by informing her Mother.

Events of the Episode: (Done by Soundarya)

Madhu receives a letter from RK. He will finish his shoot and meet her at their secret hangout. He also leaves a red saree for her.
Radha is setting the table, she is always setting the table, asking about the salad. DIpali asks about Madhu. RK has already informed Radha that Madhu is unwell, he will finish his shoot and Madhu will join him at the pack up party.
Madhu enters looking beautiful in the red saree, no jewellery except her mangalsutra.. She is emotional, and thanks Radha for making her feel at home, in the initial days. Dipali looks on, and is puzzled at Madhu's emotional dialogue.
Madhu walks around the hall remembers all the happy moments. Dipali comes up to her, Madhu tells DIpali she has nothing against her, and walks off.
Madhu goes to the chawl, despite herself confesses to her mom about their plan. To her surprise, Paddy is supportive and understands her decision immediately. Dipali discovers RK's letter addressed to his mom. She is shocked. Radha enters, opens the letter, it is blank!!
Pre-cap: madhu goes to meet RK at their designated spot, their lakeside rendezvous spot. It is decorated like a wedding mandap.

what am i supposed to analyze 🥱 mujhe neend aa rahi hai..

Madhu's emotional goodbye ..the only one reason why they showed this DETAILED bidai is that we throw a few more chappals at RK tomorrow 🤣 i knew RK's letter wud be blank...he cancelled his plan already so...Madhu blurted it out in front of Padmini and she's happy about it..Padmini i love you 😆 imagine if Radha read that letter, all hell will break lose...thats the diff. b/w Padmini and Radha..selfish love and selfless love...may be beti ke liye pyar and bete ke liye pyar 😭 therez a diff. in that too, ppl. admit or not...

i remember one dialogue which Padmini said today.."kitni thake hue lag rahe hai sab" 😆 if someone clicks our pic, woh bhi aisi hi hogi...since tueday we're brainstorming but suspense doesn't come to an end...MB writers have put Talash and Race 2 writers to shame 👍🏼

precap..i'm happy, at least they r on this set..itna kharcha kiya hoga toh scene bhi shoot kar liya...Madhu is in that red saaree not that golden taam jhaam...tsunami is coming tomorrow..ya phir Madhu ne aur time waste karna hai saying bye bye 🥱 not that i didn't like her scenes today but yahan jaan atki hai n they were doing timepass..imagine Madhu saying goodbye to Dips 😆 vaise Dips ke dimag ki batti jal gayi lagta hai..jo kaam RK ki baaton ne nahi kiya, blank letter ne kar diya 👍🏼

no RK today..must be busy celebrating his first month anniversary 🥱 TG no jaanus on twitter for the time being..guys plz SMS , MMS, video conferencing, etc. ka upyog karein it's more useful than tweeter 😆 we need some peace of mind here !!

ab what else should i write? for timepass, i went n watch Race 2 😆 should i review that? it was a cool movie 😎 n i dun know how the next 24 hrs will pass may be i should make one more VM😛

i forgot to mention ..the new montage is up i love it so much n this one coming at this moment is a BIG relief..

And the mystery continues...

Madhu receives a note from RK along with a thornless rose asking him to meet him later. He even calls up to confirm that she is coming...is he still expecting her to ditch him at last minute?

He has thoughfully even picked a dress for her.

Madhu says her goodbyes to everyone and gets nostalgic...she eventually ends up confessing to Paddo. Though Paddo is taken aback, she encourages Madhu to do what she feels is right.

Dips discovers RKs letter and seems shocked. Later Radha takes a look at the letter and we find it is a blank sheet.

Precap ...the stage is set for pheras and RK still seems to have his "very much in love with you" face on.

There were several things that stood out for me-

Rk is still being thoughtful, caring and still seems to be invested in this relationship as per his letter. He is still controling all aspects of his remarraige but there are personal and sensitive touches everywhere. I am unable to understand his need for going to this extent with it all if he intends to ditch Madhu later. There is nothing sloppy anywhere...no misses.

Madhu insists that what she is doing is for RK and this is his choice. She does not care what the rest of world thinks. While she was refering to her dress but it occured to me she could have refered to the entire situation as well. The elopement is RK's choice and she stands by it regardless of what other think.

Dips looks shocked at seeing the letter and utters "What". Her face pales and she even tries to hide the letter from Radha...why would she be shocked or want to hide the letter on seeing a blank sheet? She never reacts by trying to see the other side of paper for some script- common reaction on finding a blank sheet in an envelope. Is it a some sort of signal between the duo (Dips and RK)? If he did write a letter then where did that vanish off to? How would Rk know that Dips will open the letter? BTW this lady has no respect for personal boundaries. It also brought RK's dialogue from yesterday to mind "Biwi...exam sa lag raha hai...Tum meri copy mat karna ...Meri Maa thodi different hai". It was an odd dialogue and I had pondered what he meant yesterday. Kiska exam? Why is his mom different?

Just like I expected, once Paddo got over her initial shock, she encouraged Madhu to follow her heart. Paddo is one of few people who has faced immense hardship and abuse from her husband...she understands the notion and importance of selfless love and the bond between a couple. She adores RK and loves Madhu dearly and would place thier happiness over any self-interest.

Madhu has said her goodbyes to everyone...if she is missing then her family won't look for her and once Padmini tells Radha what went down neither will Bhatias. They will have the money in the will to bandage thier so called wounds. So If RK does ditch Madhu...what options does she have...where does she go?

We are already at venue so I am guessing he ditches her tommorrow but then the twist is supposed to happen on Saturday ...so what happens on Saturday.

There were not many clues in the episode today too...

Heartbreaking. Never have I felt so sad for a fictional female character.

So it is a revenge plan as the empty letter to Radha shows although I was confused at Dips reaction for the blank letter.

When I looked at Madhu in the precap she looked so innocent reminded me of lamb who trusts the butcher completely and unaware it's going to be slaughtered.

That may seem harsh to some and think that I'm calling RK a butcher (or a killer) but that's the first thought that came to my mind.

I may not be into analysis like many of you in this thread are but whatever RK does can never be justified.

Nobody can justify his actions saying he's like this because of his past blah blah the I'l say GET HELP, MOVE ON It's been 15 years...

RK might not kill her physically but Revenge/No revenge , Disease/No disease Madhu will die a little tomorrow.

The excitement and tension is building up.. 😊

RK was not seen during the entire episode, but his presence was felt throughout. The letter which Madhu read out was filled with tidings of love and instructions to get to the marriage site. That's one letter down and two to go.

Madhu then proceeds to do just what he said. DD looked absolutely stunning. The way she emoted when saying goodbye to Radha, the way her hands kept grasping Radha's ... too good. 👍🏼

I can't believe she told Dipali that she didn't think ill of her and never would. 😲 That was too much. But then again she won't be seeing her again so I guess she wanted bygones to be bygones.

Dipali could tell that there was something off .. not surprised by this in the least. Whatever her sins, she is intelligent. And of course the kick of the episode, RK's blank letter... This is only serving to depress me 😔 .. Its so so hard to hold on to hope with scenes like this. 😭

Madhu and Padmini's conversation was surprising, however. I didn't think she would be okay with her daughter and daamad just leaving. I thought she would be against it at least a little bit. But she accepted it straight away. How much of this acceptance is because, Madhu would be with RK and she knows that with RK her daughter would be safe and happy?

The precap .. so the stage is set .. its time for "Lights Camera and Action"

Today's epi was entirely devoted to Madhu taking leave from Radha and Padmini. Dipali is desparate to know what is really going on. Thank god Madhu does not blurt out anything to Radha and just thanks her for her support while she was in that house. Radha is not that perceptive and just gets emotional along with Madhu.

Kora kagaj tha yeh mann RK ka
kyun nahin likh liya us per naam tumne Madhu ka
As suspected RK's letter to Radha was just a blank paper. He probably knows correctly what would be their reaction if this is revealed to them prematurely. Both Dipali and Radha are just left wondering about it.

In the scene over at chawl, Padmini is spouting more ashubh indications like "bin byahi Madhu abhi bhi udhar hi rehti hai.." etc. God, all that is gonna come true I think by this week end. Her dialogues reminded me of a saying "Vinash kale viparit buddhi" (very rough Translation - When something bad is about to happen, you say, think or do something equally bad). Not entirely true or applicable in this situation but just a feeling I got while watching this scene.

Padmini is more perceptive than Radha to gauge Madhu's downcast mood and prods her which results in Madhu blurting out the truth. Though this discovery is a blow to Padmini, she being a strong character bounces back almost immediately and encourages Madhu to follow through her plan in her quest of love for RK.

Precap - Madhu in her red saree goes to meet RK as per his instructions in the letter.
