Kamal Haasan: 'Salman Khan is not a mullah, he is an actor'

Actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan's spy flick Vishwaroop, which has courted enough controversies for allegedly making derogatory statements against the Muslim community, has been much appreciated by viewers in Mumbai as well as celebs attached to the film industry.
Recently, Salman Khan too hosted a special screening of the film and after the screening, when Haasan was asked if Salman was offended with the movie as he himself is a Muslim too, Kamal retorted, ''Salman is not a mullah, he is an actor and an artiste. As an artiste, he likes good art and there is nothing to get offended about in the movie. He is a good human being, so don't drag him into another controversy now!''
Directed and produced by Kamal Haasan, who also acted in it , Vishwaroop is a tri-lingual film, which also stars Rahul Bose, Andrea Jeremiah, Pooja Kumar and Jaideep Ahlawat in pivotal roles.
