On the contrary, smaller movies with innovative concepts are the ones that are treated harshly by the industry. Not many bigger actors would take up a risky movie. People are doing it much more now and it's good to see that different genres are being accepted too. If Kahaani was made 5-10 years ago, it wouldn't have worked nearly as well as it did.
The point is not to corner any one movie or all the 100 cr. movies. It is to say that one shouldn't chase the 100 cr. dream, rather one should try to be innovative and stay true to the art form - which is to entertain. And if that form of entertainment crosses 100 crores, then that's excellent for the makers!
Have u seen any nomination of following films in FILMFAIL or GHANTAA Awards?
1. Kahaani
2. Vicky Donor
3. OMG!
4. Barfi
5. Paan Singh Tomar
6. English Vinglish
All critics/media favorite films, you will see tons of praises just for them, everyone connected with those films.
Even if nominations would be there, it would be marginal.
While u will see All kind of nominations for Salman/Akki/Ajay Films, & themselves.
