Rs 100 cr scale has lowered focus on film's qualit - Page 3

I don't think any 100 crore film was made to get 100 crore . They were made to be hits most likely but not Kait for money . Like Ready and and Borguard were announced before dabangg came out .people said Salman was just cashing in on Masala that's bs . He did those films cause he wanted to . Maybe Akshay did RR or Housefull for money . But Robit Shetty doesn't do anything for money .


In my own opinion other thn Housefull 2 no other 100 crore film was created just to make 100 crores not Salman or Ajay's or anyone else's . They all just so the films they want



Smaller budget films are good like Kahaani VD EV so there is space for all films

But the small filmakers criticize 100 crore club even tho bit stars support smaller films a lot so there is double standard

On the contrary, smaller movies with innovative concepts are the ones that are treated harshly by the industry. Not many bigger actors would take up a risky movie. People are doing it much more now and it's good to see that different genres are being accepted too. If Kahaani was made 5-10 years ago, it wouldn't have worked nearly as well as it did.

The point is not to corner any one movie or all the 100 cr. movies. It is to say that one shouldn't chase the 100 cr. dream, rather one should try to be innovative and stay true to the art form - which is to entertain. And if that form of entertainment crosses 100 crores, then that's excellent for the makers!

That's not harsh . Harsh is if someone offered Akshay Kumar Vicky donor and he made it his mission to see it doesn't get made lol and criticized it. It is not wrong if an actor declines an innovative concept movie. Maybe insecure but not wrong . Maybe Akshay didn't like Vicky donor but he did like OMG and he did that . Most big actors even if they don't act in small films they support them . Isn't that enough .
