8X12 'As Time Goes By' Written update

Supernatural S8 E13 Update.

Recap: Sam and Dean are shown saying that the book their father left to them is their legacy. They have to continue hunting demons. Old scenes are shown where cupid confesses the John and Mary were meant to be so that Sam and Dean could be born.

In Normal, Illinois in 1958 a father tells his son to go to sleep. He came to check up on his son before he left for work (at night). He is wearing a brooch and his son enquires about it to which he replies that one day he'll tell him what the broach is and winds up a music box and leaves saying 'Good night son'. The guy is then showing entering a place which has the same sign craved on the door as his brooch. The sign is of an aquarian star. He meets a woman who asks him if he's passed the initiation, and he replies in affirmation. Another guy (dressed like a priest/ monk in a cloak) comes out from a room and asks the girl to follow him. The father of the child begins to take off his hat and his overcoat when he hears screams coming from the room where the girl was just taken to.

He rushes into the room and sees the girl (who is possessed by a demon) to be killing the cloaked men present there. One of the injured men whose eyes are dripping blood give a box to the child's father telling him to protect it and not let it fall in the hands of the woman. He takes the box and runs into another room where he performs a spell as fast as he can with the demon woman trying to break open the door with her power to reach him. The spell works and he time travels to Sam and Dean's closet in the future. He hurries out into the room and asks the boys if they know John Winchester.

The demon follows him out of the closet and Dean stabs her with the demon killing knife, but it fails to kill her. She calls the mystery guy as 'Henry'. The trio flees for their lives. They are spotted leaving by the motel owner and the demon (Abaddon) uses him to gain information about how they left and the license plate of the car from his memory before killing him.

Henry feels queasy and the Winchesters stop by the roadside. He vomits his guts out and says that things would really be easy if he found John. He is then told that John has passed away. Henry is shocked. The Winchester introduce themselves as John's kids and also the side tale of how John became a hunter and also how John's childhood was lonely as he thought his father ran out on him. Henry tells the boys that he performed a blood sigel and used the power of his soul to time travel. Dean and Sam are amazed since they thought only angels could time travel. Henry is surprised the boys don't know about this. He asks them which level of knowledge the boys are at now. He asks them whether they are "Men of Letters."

Henry further elaborates that he. his father, and his grandfather were all Men of Letters (A secret literary society that handles all the knowledge that man does not understand and then gives them out to 'elite hunters', they themselves don't do any killing). Dean and Sam inform him that they are hunters. Henry is not pleased with this news, he thinks hunters are apes (primitive, shoot first asks questions later mentality). He had thought that Sam and Dean would also be Men of Letters and would be carrying their family legacy forward. Henry also tells them that he is protecting a box from Abadon but he does not know the contents of the box or why he is supposed to keep it away from the demon. Apparently Abadon is one of the oldest demons, handpicked by Lucifer himself. He is probably the last of his kind. They also realize that John's journal had the initials HW on its cover which stand for 'Henry Winchester'. It was supposed to be Henry's journal, but Henry never came back and John assumed he abandoned him. Henry also tells them that one can only time travel (blood to blood relationship) to next of kiln.

In 2013, the place where the initiation occurred in 1958 has become a comic bookstore. They use a computer over there and find an article which stated that fire took the deaths of the people present in the store on that day. There are directed to a graveyard where they desiccate a grave of on of the people supposedly dead by the fire, but instead they find a body of a some war veteran (there are army name tags around the corpse's neck by which Sam and Dean know that this body is not of Larry. They head back to a motel room and research that Larry is still living (now 127 yr old) and has assumed the identity of the dead war veteran. Meanwhile Abadon has gone to the comic bookstore and has retrieved all the information from the salesgirl's memory over there.

Dean and Sam are napping and during this time Henry makes a decision to go back in time an hour ago and prepare everything to tackle when Abadon attacks so that he can give John a life that he should've gotten. Sam wakes Dean up and Dean goes to look for Henry while Sam goes to Larry's address to gather information about the aquarius symbol box.

Sam meets Larry who is blind now. A lady is shown beside him (probably his wife). He was the one with the bloody eyes who gave Henry the box to guard. Sam does not tell him that Henry is alive, but informs him that his brother has the box and the want to know the contents of the box. Larry tells him that the box is the key to bring every kind of ingredient to make a spell at one place so it cannot fall in the wrong hands. He then writes some coordinates down for Sam and tells him to throw the box over there as it is the safest place on Earth and nothing but the key could penetrate over there. His wife gets up and thanks Larry for the information. It turns out that Abadon had possessed his wife's body. It takes Sam hostage and gets rid of Larry.

Abadon calls up Dean and wants to trade Henry and the box for Sam. Dean stops Henry from going back in time and takes him to Abadon. Henry with the box in his pocket walks over to Abadon while Sam walks towards Dean. They turn back and try to head out but Abadon closes the door. It intends to kill all 3 of them. Henry slows the demon down and shoots it with a bullet getting injured in the process. Abadon is unable to come out of this woman's body as the bullet now resting in its skull had a devil's trap carved on it. So technically, Abadon is trapped in this woman's body. Dean beheads it and tells the corpse that he will bury the body parts under cement from where it will be alive but won't be able to get out.

Henry passes away unable to return back to his time and the Winchesters bury him.

P.S: Plzz ignore the spelling mistakes/ errors. Didn't get time to recheck. Will give it a once over later.
