Yash : Why didn't you come online last two days?

Aarti : Had a family wedding to attend.

Meanwhile I set my status , 'Baby! You complete me' , just like that , without thinking .

Yash : Aarti! For whom is this precious status for?

Aarti : What status?

Yash : Baby you complete me 😳

I got nervous. I didn't want him to have any idea about my restlessness , I just didn't want him to get pissed off .

Aarti : Umm this status , I just read somewhere & put it up randomly.

Yash : Oh thats the case.

I noticed his status bar changed too , he wrote , 'Im incomplete without you.'

Aarti : Oh so this status is for?

Yash : I too , put it up randomly.

Aarti : Oh. So wazzup? How was your valentines day?

Yash : Just like another day.

Aarti : Really? Didn't take Arpita out?

Yash : Arpita? Lol. She was Prashanth's valentine.

This was shocking . Prashanth & Arpita? What kind of match is it? One is geek & other is a greek god. Prashanth , the expected next headboy of the school , girls are just mad about him , what seniors what juniors! Maybe the 'music connection' joint their string for the day.

Aarti : Poor you

Yash : And you didn't come online?

Aarti : My hands were decorated with henna 😊

Yash : I know 😊

I again changed my status , 'You make me smile….always' & I saw him changing it again to , 'You're the reason why I smile'. This time we didn't interrogate each other.

Yash : So , must be having a boyfriend…

WTH? Is he a fool? How could a 'committed' girl be online & chat with a senior 24*7.

Aarti : No.

Yash : Crushes?

Ohh why am I supposed to deal with the stupidest boy everrr….

Aarti : I don't believe in crushes but only in true love.

13 year old talking about true love. How stupid! Thank god she was saying this to a stupid only.

Yash : Whoa! Really? So who is your true love? Let me guess. Tom Cruise!

Aarti : No. I like him. But…love? No ways!

Yash : Why don't you tell that boy?

Aarti : 'Coz he is a dear friend. I don't wanna lose him.

Yash : Good friendship is never lost Aarti. Trust me.

Aarti : I don't know. Revelations scare me. Specially when a important relations are at stake.

Yash : Come on Aarti!

Aarti : 😔

Yash : You love…

Aarti : …..I love?

Yash : Yash.

A wry expression had crossed my visage. I didn't reply anything. I could never understand why I felt so numb. I mean , I always made it clear by my stupid antics how much I adore him….errr …but I couldn't take it pleasingly. My heart was beating cruelly , my face was all warm with fear & regret.

I shut down my computer in haste & switched off my wifi and went berserk. I hid my face under bedsheet & cried. Cried till my eyes are swollen. I wanted to erase that chat.

I informed Paridhi & Shobha about my stupidity on phone but their condolence didn't really work. I went to school next day with same swollen eyes. I could feel his gaze observing me but I kept my head straight & didn't show any sign of cluttered emotions.

Though had made up in my mind that I WILL NEVER talk to him again , I still , for the safety sent him an offline message saying , 'No. Its not you. I don't love you.' He replied after an hour with just an , 'ok' and that was really not okay. After another hour I got another ping saying , "We set status for those with whom we chat & I chat only with you."
