Chapter Six - The Mall

I didn't know what to do.

Follow after him? Or stay at home waiting?

I decided to do the former.

It had been 5 minutes since he stormed out.

But I had a feeling that I knew where he'd go.

I quickly got into the car and asked the driver to take me to the mall.

He did as I asked.

It was getting dark outside. The mall had already closed, so the parking lot was empty.

I got out of the car and told the driver to leave.

I didn't doubt myself.

I knew he'd be there.

I walked around the corner of the mall and that's when I found him.

Sitting on the steps with his face in his palms.

I slowly walked up to him and sat next to him.

I didn't say a word.

He didn't move at all, he kept his face in his palms, but he spoke.

He knew it was me.

"How'd you find me?"

"This is where we met for the first time...I had a feeling..."

There was silence for a minute and then he spoke again.

"You can't do this to me Madhu..."

I gently rubbed his back as he continued.

"I almost lost you once...I can't risk it again..."

As he had his back bent down, I leaned over his back and hugged him from behind. I rested my chin on his back and spoke into his neck.

"Shh...you won't lose me RK..."

"They won't let me keep you...they'll take you away from me..."

"No they won't RK...they won't..."

He slowly sat up and stared at me. I took his hands into mine.

"How can you be so sure?"

"Because, even if ma and papa try...I won't let them RK. I'll always stick by your side."

"Promise?"

"I promise RK."

"Do you want to go tell them now Madhu?"

"Maybe we should wait...until tomorrow. Let's go home..."

"You're right. We should go..."

I stood up and stared at him as he kept his eyes on me.

"Coming?"

He just continued to stare at me without responding.

Then out of the blue he spoke.

"I love you Madhu."

I smiled and took a hold of his hand to pull him up.

When he was standing, he pulled on my waist to pull me close.

"I love you too RK."

He very gently pushed my hair away from my neck. I felt the cold breeze brush against the skin on my neck.

I closed my eyes.

"What are you doing?"

My eyes shot open at the sound of his voice.

He smirked.

"There was just a spider on your neck..."

"SPIDER?!"

I jumped and screamed and ran in a circle until he grabbed my hand and pulled me close again. He laughed.

"I'm kidding biwi!"

I stared at him and then put on an angry look.

I gently pushed on his chest.

"You suck!"

Then suddenly he let his lips touch my neck.

I closed my eyes as his lips moved up to my jaw line.

He pulled away slowly and I opened my eyes.

My heart was racing.

He smiled and then spoke.

"Do I really suck?"

Note to readers: I'm so sorry everyone...that wasn't my best update...I'm trying to update everything while I have a migraine. That's also why they're so short. I do apologize.
