A lot of Pakistanis watch various foreign dramas - American, British, Korean and/or Turkish ones. I don't think there is anything wrong in that...why try blaming the Turkish dramas for the negligence of Pakistani dramas? I believe this gives local dramas a bit more competition and a higher bar to strive for- improving the storyline, direction and production of films/dramas.

No there is nothing wrong with Turkish shows but foreign content should be shown on their own channels just like how American shows are shown on American channels, British shows are shown on British channels, Canadian shows are on Canadian channels, Indian shows are shown on Indian channels. Turkish shows should be shown on Turkish channels and those channels can be part of cable packages.
The issue here is that Turkish shows are being shown on channels specifically for Pakistani shows and they are shown on prime time slots. I have never seen other countries give prime time slots to international shows. If international shows are shown on national channels then those international shows are aired during daytime, or late night, or weekend time slots.
Also, on American television, soap operas are shown during the daytime while seasonal shows are shows in the evenings on prime-time.
