Well, it's the whole twist of time travel. He traveled from the past to meet John, his son. Either John is very little at the moment in the past or is not even born. This is the young version of Grandpa Winchester.. this is just too weird 😆 But then again, what in Supernatural isn't?!

i have never seen the grandpa winchesters..but going by the expalanations you all gave..i think john dean and sam inherited looks from henry

an dremeber when dean and sam time travel in S5 they were not even born..and john and mary were just then got married..😆

infact dean gave tips about what car to buy and how impala is great to his own dad of approximately his own age.....ok my head is spinning *dean ishtyle*🤣

@L - I totally agree!! Every time I think about time traveling, my head hurts... and I instantly think of Dean reading Chuck's manuscript, "Dean and Sam are in a laundromat reading about Dean and Sam in a laundromat... My head hurts."
