Part 2

All day long, Asad was busy in his office, the thoughts of Jia and Zoya loitering no where in his mind. It was half past four and he collapsed in his seat.

Time to meet miss Farukhi at her favorite spot, the pizza hut adjoining his office. He had no choice but to officially listen to her bakwas and take her advice.

He reached there and saw her by a table. She was as usual munching her pizza slice while typing something on her tab. He wanted to run away, not that he was scared but he didn't want to face her after his previous incident with her. Remembering his promise to ammi, he went to sit with her.

"thanks for coming Mr. Khan.. " zoya smiled, "I was getting bored. I have finished eating 2 pizza already.. "

"Why can't we meet somewhere else?" Asad asked her.

"sure.. we can meet in a coffee shop if you insist , " zoya replied.

"how about my cabin?"

zoya laughed, "Woh office kaam karne keliye hai Mr. Khan.. romantic baatein karna ho, toh you need to visit places like these.. "

Asad fumed, "we aren't here to talk stuff like romance or love. I'm only here because mom asked me to get to know her better.. Jia, I mean.. "

"Kya baat hai Mr. Khan! You have grown up and you're about to marry. You're supposed to know the meaning of love... you need to be romantic! woh zindgi hi kya jisme romance na ho.. Jia ke baare mein jaanne se pehle zara pyar karna seekhiye.. "

"shut it.. I need to meet Zayed. You have 20 minutes miss Farukhi. What does Jia do? I know she plans to get married .. what other ambitions does she have!"

It was zoya's turn to fume. Asad Ahmed Khan was the only man who irritates her, instigates her, makes her blush sometimes. Scratch the last part.. what a judgement here!

"Mr. Khan!" Zoya yelled, "aapko kyon lagtaa hai ladkiyon ki koi ambitions nahi hote! Every girl will have some ambitions! Its because of you narrow minded people they're being confined to kitchens! Girls are not merely meant for marriage or to produce kids for you men!"

Asad was taken aback, "sorry miss Farukhi calm down. I only meant that Jia wanted to get married. Mom told me that she had no intentions of studying further or do a job. Miss Farukhi, I respect women for what they are and your concerns here. What you think may be right but what you do is not..."

Zoya calmed down and apologised for yelling.

"its okay.. " Asad assured her, "shall we discuss the topic at hand.. "

"Sure, I will tell you in detail about Jia. But before that Mr. Khan, you need to learn loving her! I know you don't like the idea but I think you can.. I want you to fall in love Mr. Khan... " Asad tried to intervene but zoya went on, "I know you can love.. you love your mother, your sister and Ayaan! Why can't you love a girl who is going to be your wife!?"

"Miss Farukhi.. "

"Please Mr. Khan, for once do listen to me. You think, you will never fall in love. But you never know when where and how cupid strikes you. And you may sometimes not realize you're in love with a person. Believe me Mr. Khan.. you will go to any extent for this person you. Agar koi aisa ho jisse aap pyaar karte hai.. uske paas hone se shayad aapko ehsaas nahi hoga ki woh aapkeliye kya hai! Ek baar woh aapse door joh jayega.. tab ehsaas hoga! aur agar usko kuch hojaye.. toh jaise aapki duniya khatm ho jati hai, saasein tham jaati hai.. Us pal, us lamhe mein us insaan se badhkar koi nahi.. kuch bhi nahi .. "

Asad wasn't listening anymore. He closed his eyes and images flashed in his head. How his heart broke when he left Zoya to die, how shattered he was to see her lying there lifeless, how he kept digging though his body protested, how relieved he was to see her breathing again. And how he cared about her and only her...

"yeh pyar hai hi aisa.. jitna usse door bhago, phir utna kareeb laata hai.. you can never run away from love.. "

He was dragged to reality when Zoya shrieked in horror that her pizza slice became too cold.

"jeez.. that was so cheezy, right?" Zoya remarked, chiding herself for thinking about Mangalpur incident. Jahapana cared for her, really?

Asad had enough, he didn't want to make things more complicated than they already were. Why did he think about Zoya all the time! Its not like he loved her. Wait... love? Where did that come from? His head was spinning and he wanted to leave.

"No.. you can't back out Mr. Khan. I'm sorry, I won't annoy you. And four more meetings, have some patience. Lets begin.. Zoya Farukhi aapke loveguru ka aapko salaam. Okay, when you're about to approach a girl step one is know her habits! Habits define a human being to some extent. Sit down, please.. itna respect dene ki zaroorat nahi.."

Asad sat and zoya went on, " Jia's habits are.. well, she loves reading books.. she reads urdu and english novels, poetry mostly. Its ironic, she's my friend.. I'm not into reading, you know. I love playing video games, designing apps myself and dancing. Jia is shy.. she doesn't dance! too bad na.. and you know Mr. Khan which is the last video game that I played?"

"No.. " Asad shook his head. Didn't Zoya promise to cut her non sense a while ago?!

He checked his clock, almost five pm. Time to receive Zayed from airport.

"Jia sometimes goes to watch movies. But I.. I will never miss any film, especially SRK ones.. my fav movie is DDLJ forever! Jia loves gardening , that's something we have in common.." Zoya gushed.

"thanks for enlightening me miss Farukhi. I should go now.I would have loved to stay back and listen to your bakwaas.. I mean, updesh.. but I need to receive a friend.. so may I?"

"Sure Mr. Khan.. you can go! Nice chatting with you.. Allahafiz."

Asad got up and was about to go when Zoya slipped from her chair.

"Bill amount five hundred rupees! Allahmiya.. what's wrong wid this place! If I pay all the amount, how will I reach home?" Zoya shrieked seeing the bill.

"Itne pizza khaana sehat keliye haanikarak hai.. " Asad commented as he offered his hand for her to get up, "go.. happy walking!"

Zoya mocked him, "haha.. thanks for the advice jahanpana. Mere pair mein moch hai! My leg still hurts! But what is it to you? Carry on.. "

Asad noticed the bandage on her leg before walking out of the pizza hut. Before driving away, he saw her limping as she walked out and decided to call his driver.

"Hello Rafi.. haan, Miss zoya Farukhi, humari guest... unhe pick up karo, woh is wakht Pizza hut ke saamne hogi. Jaldi gaadi le aao.. and make sure.. use bataa dena ki gaadi maine nahi ammi ne bheja hai.. ok?"

"ok sir.. " his driver replied.

Shaking his head, assuring himself that he only helped miss Farukhi because she was in distress, he drove away.

Great update. Asad got so irritated with her banterings😆 Zoya knowing or unknowingly was telling her likes and dislikes. That was wonderful. Update next part soon😊
