Purvi is not trying to score points here or tattle on Punni. This is out of genuine concern. In the event of any untoward happening, the blame will be on Purvi, that she kept such important news to herself. Again not the reason she is telling Archana.

whether punni marries a man in this forties for money or not is her business.

Married is the operative word here...the last time there was no marriage involved. This time too, Mittal is certainly not proposing marriage. The live in part may not be the issue as much as the fact that Mittal is bad news.

purvi's illegitimate relationship is a lot more gross and toxic in nature than punni's.

Punni's relationship with Mittal cannot even be mentioned in the same sentence.

I am not saying that Punni and Purvi are the same. I am just saying that Purvi shouldn't be butting in in someone else's life. She is not the ultimate moral authority to decide that her lying is all right but Punni's lying isnt

Purvi is 19 compared to Punni's 32 and telling her mother was right, Archana cautioned her not to say anything and that she would herself talk to Manju which is as should be.

Purvi being pregnant has nothing to do with the Punni matter either, we all know how Purvi ended up in this soup, she got pregnant by the man she was all set to marry except for the last minute Damocles' sword hung over her head by her sister.

It is for Punni's own well being that the elders should be apprised. We don't want Punni ending up as Mittal's mistress.
