The next morning Beeji woke up early to make breakfast for Jeevika. She had slept in the same room with her not wanting to leave her alone. Jeevika had a rough night as she couldn't stop crying. She'd fall asleep and wake up and Beeji would have to stop her from crying. As she went to the kitchen, she saw Virat walking out of the room.
virat - "Beeji, hows bhabhi doing? Is she sleeping?"
beeji - "She's asleep now, but she wasn't well all night. She slept for an hour then would wake up and start crying again. This happened all night long, I'm really worried about her Virat. I've never seen her like this, not even when her parents died"
virat - "We have to do something before she does fall into depression. I'll talk to Dr. Mannan today when we go to the hospital"
beeji - "Yeah. But Virat beta I think you should go back to Chandigardh before anyone from there comes here. If she sees anyone from your family, especially Viren she will loose it. Her mental state of mind is not there. No one back there knows how badly she's hurt. Only you can explain it to them"
virat - "That's true beeji. And knowing Manvi she will be stubborn and come without telling anyone. I'll do one thing and go back after bhabhi's doctor appointment."
beeji - "Good. I'll go make breakfast and then we will go to the clinic, okay?"
virat - "Okay beeji"
Virat went to freshen up and then passed by Jeevika's room. He heard her screaming as if she got up from seeing a nightmare.
virat - "Bhabhi what happened? Are you okay?"
Jeevika just tied her arms around herself putting her face down towards her knees crying. Virat tried to calm her down and then everyone came running in.
beeji - "Jeevika, shhh. Please stop crying. Nothing will happen. You're here with your family"
Beeji tried hugging her again and she slowly stopped crying.
jeevika - "Beeji I never want to go back to that house. Please always keep me here with you. I can't go, please please please" she pleaded and cried.
beeji - "Jeevika quiet. No one will make you go back, okay? I will never let you go back to those people or to that house. You will always stay here with me okay. No one is going to say or do anything to you know"
Jeevika kept crying and Dabbu gave her some water to drink. She slowly drank the water and then got up with Virat's help and went to the bathroom.
Beeji had started crying now seeing Jeevika in this shape.
beeji - "Virat, now even I have decided. Jeevika will never go back to that house again. This is how your family takes care of my daughter? Look at what she's become. This is not normal. What crime did she commit? She spoke the truth, and your family is a bunch of lies. Your bua always pompously boosted how well known and great their lawyer family is. You all are frauds. Look at how much they have tormented her. This is what she gets for telling Swamini the truth? That my two daughters were almost molested by HER son. It is your family to be blamed for having a heir like that. My poor girls were first tormented by Karan and now your family. I won't take this anymore. You tell your brother, and your family that Jeevika will never come back now. They have crossed all limits this time. And tell this to Swamini first and for most. You all will regret this I'm telling you"
Beeji walked away in hatred and anger for the Vadhera's. Virat knew everything that beeji said was true and even though she had hatred for him and his family he knew he couldn't get that standing in the way. Virat thought to himself that this was going to be harder than he had imagined. He knew there was something majorly wrong with Jeevika and this was all because of his family. As soon as Jeevika walked outside from the bathroom she went and sat on her bed again hiding her face.
virat - "Dabbu lets take bhabhi right now. We need to get her checked by the doctor. She hasn't slept all night and now she's having traumas"
dabbu - "Okay Virat jiju, let me call beeji"
Beeji came back and gave Jeevika a glass of milk to drink. Beeji made her drink it sip by sip and she started down at the ground with tears still coming out. It was hard for anyone to see Jeevika like this. Soon enough they all got in Virat's car and left for Dr. Mannan's clinic. As Jeevika waited inside the clinic, Virat took Dr. Mannan outside to talk to him without letting Jeevika hear. Beeji stayed inside with Jeevika holding her hand.
virat - "Dr. Mannan bhabhi kept haivng nightmares all night long waking up after every hour or so crying in her sleep. This morning also she screamed and cried so loudly. Nor is she eating much or saying anything besides never wanting to go back. I don't think she's in her senses and I'm scared she's going to do something that will hurt her baby"
mannan - "Okay, thanks for letting me know beforehand. I will take that into consideration with the diagnosis. Let's go inside"
They both went inside and Dr. Mannan was just asking Jeevika questions.
m - "Jeevika, do you know how many weeks pregnant you are?"
Jeevika looked down and didn't answer.
dabbu - "Di you had only told me a few days ago you were 12 weeks pregnant, remember?"
Jeevika kept looking down.
m - "Okay jeevika do you know where you were born?"
Jeevika nodded no again. Everyone was freaking out even more now.
m - "Okay, that's okay. Dabbu how about you go with Jeevika and the nurse to the other room for a few blood tests"
dabbu - "Okay dr. mannan"
Dabbu and Jeevika left and Virat, Pinky, Beeji, and Madan stayed to talk to Mannan.
beeji - "Dr. Mannan what is happening to her? Why is she behaving like this?"
m - "I'd like to ask you something. It's a bit personal, but I need to know. I know that something has happened tremendously huge in the past few days as Jeevika came here to Rishikesh. I need to know exactly what happened though"
virat - "Actually Dr. Mannan the thing is that'."
Virat explained everything to him telling him every detail, so he wouldn't misdiagnose the problem.
m - "Okay, well I also know that Jeevika had aborted her first kid to donate her bone marrow for Manvi. And based on all these events that have been happening recently it seems as if she has pre-partum depression. Because she had to abort her kid, and all this mess that has been created from going to court to the accusations she is not in her senses anymore. And now that she's pregnant again, she will be more depressed as it will only remind her of the first time she had to let go of her baby. And this pre-partum is more dangerous than just depression because it involved the safety of her child. On the track she is going right now, and if she doesn't get help she will do something and loose her child. She already hasn't been eating the past three days as Virat and Dabbu informed me, plus I think she keeps hearing the words of your family members which make her wake up every few hours and have a panic attack"
virat - "How do we cure this dr. mannan? How d o we get her out of this depression?"
m - "Well we are going to have to do a proper treatment on her as the baby is on a huge risk. But first and for most, you need to isolate Jeevika from Viren and the whole family in Chandigardh. If she sees them, she's only going to get worst. I will start her treatment, but you have to take special care of her. You have to remind her that she has a child to take care of. Slowly, but eventually she'll start behaving like normal."
virat - "Okay, thank you dr. mannan. Thank you very much"
m - "Its no problem. Let me go get Jeevika's blood reports"
Mannan left and the four were still sitting in the cabin feeling miserable.
virat - "Beeji I know you are very very upset and you have full right to be. I will never forgive them for doing this to jeevika bhabhi. I promise you beeji, no one will come near her, not even Manvi and especially bhai"
beeji - "I'm sorry that I shouted at you before. I know you care for Jeevika a lot, but please Virat I need you to handle your family at home. No one will come close to my daughter"
virat - "Don't worry beeji. No one will come to her until she is better, okay. Let's go home as soon as Dr. Mannan comes back and I will leave right away to go back to Chandigardh and inform everyone. Quite informing I will make them sorry for everything they have done."
Mannan came back inside the cabin
m - "Jeevika's health is very fragile. And I don't think her baby is safe. The blood tests are showing some abnormality. We need to call a specialist from some big city"
Virat and Beeji got up from their seats all panicked.
virat - "Please tell me, and I will arrange a doctor right away"
m - "I will. I think you should take her home and keep her on bed rest until I give further notice"
virat - "Okay, please let us know fast"
They all took Jeevika home and as soon as they came out they saw Manvi and Viren and a few others waiting outside the locked house.
virat - "Beeji the driver is going to take you to the market and Dabbu you get the medicines from the pharmacy. I'll handle them over here in the meantime."
Beeji saw everything and understood. She didn't want Jeevika to see anyone. She was so relieved she was asleep on her lap
Virat got out the car and went towards the house where all his family members were waiting.
manvi - "Virat where is di? And why did the driver take everyone away? Where did they go?"
virat - "You all need to leave from here right now"
viren - "Virat, look we made a huge mistake"
virat - "We bhai? We? How could you say that. You made the biggest mistake of your life. You called Jeevika bhabhi the biggest regret of your life. You insulted her without even giving her a chance to explain. And bua you? You instigated her and went as far as insulting her parents. You questioned her upbringing? How would you feel if beeji comes and tells you that you raised your son like nephew in the worst manner possible?"
swamini - "What are you saying Virat? I have helped raise you two boys in the best manners and conditions possible"
virat - "No. You raised bhai to not respect and understand his wife. And you know what I would agree with beeji"
swamini - "Virat, why are you making such a big deal out of this all.? What is wrong with you? We have come to apologize to Jeevika"
virat - "You're going to have to do more than apologize. For all the damage you've done"
manvi - "Virat you're freaking me out now. Tell me where is my di and whats wrong with her right now. Virat I'm begging you"
virat - Bhabhi left Chandigardh a few days ago and was staying in an abandoned house for 3 days. 3 days she went without food, water, nothing. No one here knew she was here except for Dabbu who tried taking the best care of her possible. Better than us who just taunted her. Bhai do you know how much your words have haunted her? She hasn't slept nor can she. She wakes up every hour with nightmares of you and bua insulting her. Don't you think she's gone through enough by giving up her baby and sacrificing everything for her family. You went as far as calling her a murderer? Yeah bua thats the kind of guy who you raised. Someone who had equal blame, but told his wife she was a murderer. Just the thought of any of you guys, makes her panicked. She's depressed and you both are the reason for it"
Manvi and Viren both broke down. How could they let this happen. So much had happened and no one consoled Jeevika for anything. She kept everything inside of her till so long that she bursted.
virat - "I don't want to hear anything from all of you know. Leave before I loose my mind, especially you bhai. You don't deserve someone like her"
viren - "Listen Virat, everything I said was in sheer anger at the moment. I wish I could take back my words because I never meant that. I was so upset seeing Badi Ma in that condition that I was afraid to loose her and I got my frustration out on Jeevika"
virat - "In the despair of almost loosing bua, you definitely did loose your wife, bhai."
viren - "Virat just give me one chance and I will make it up to her and everyone. I can't loose her, she is my life"
virat - "You already lost her. Your name freaks bhabhi out, and if she sees you god knows what will happen. Chachu please take everyone home. They all are going to be back soon and I don't want bhabhi to see anyone. Manvi you stay here with me. I need to talk to you and I need you here"
The whole family left without saying anything else, but Viren was unable to take and steps towards the car. He didn't want to go, he needed his Jeevika even though she may have not needed him. He didn't know how to fix everything. Inder chachu had to take Viren back into the car as he was still shocked and refused to move. He had tears coming out his eyes which weren't stoping.
inder - "Viren calm down. Just give it some time, everything will be back to normal and Jeevika will be with you again. Just like old times, okay"
As they drove away Virat tried consoling Manvi.
virat - "Manvi you can't be weak in front of bhabhi. You need to be her strength just like she was when you had cancer. There's one thing though that I hid from everyone. Bhabhi doesn't have just depression. She's going through pre-partum depression"
manvi - "what is that virat" she said as virat wiped her tears away
virat - "Bhabhi is pregnant and due to the several events that happened recently she is behaving this way. And this often occurs also due to having a miscarriage or loss of child beforehand. All these things from Karan to the trial and recent incident as made her loose her state of mind"
manvi - "Di is pregnant? I mean she didn't mention it to me, and I don't think jiju knows either. But Virat, why were you taunting Jiju so much. What had he said"
virat - "He called bhabhi a murderer of their child. He didn't even give her one chance to explain anything"
manvi - "I can't believe he would do such a thing. Virat it's me whose the reason they don't have their angel. I'm the murderer, not di"
virat - "Manvi stop thinking like that. Okay now act normal everyone is back"
Beeji got out of the car and helped Jeevika out also. She was quiet and just stared down all the time. They all walked inside and helped Jeevika lay down, and fell asleep instantly.
Manvi ran out of the room and Virat followed her. She couldn't see her di like this.
manvi - "virat this is all my fault"
virat - "Manvi please don't cry. Whats done is done, now all we can do is give bhabhi love so she starts getting better"
Just then Dr. Mannan called on Virat's cell phone.
m - "Virat, we need to take Jeevika to Mumbai. There are some tests we need to do that will give us a better understanding of the baby's condition. If you can arrange all the flights, I will make an appointment right away"
virat - "Of course, please go on with the appointment. I will arrange the flights under any circumstance"
Virat cut the phone.
beeji - "Virat beta, what happened?"
virat - "We need to go to Mumbai right away. They need to do some tests and those tests are only done in big hospitals. I will go and book the flights right now"
manvi - "But Virat tests for what?"
virat - "Actually Manvi, Dr. Mannan did a few blood tests on bhabhhi and said there were some abnormalities with the baby. We need to go fast"
Just as Manvi was coping with everything, she had to deal with this now. She knew if her di lost this baby, she would be shattered for the rest of her life and nothing would make it better. Virat went and booked the tickets for him, manvi, jeevika, and beeji. Manvi went inside the room and quietly packer her old suits as well as Jeevika's. She took the bags out where Virat was on the phone.
virat - "Manvi we have to take a train to Chandigardh first and then fly from there to Mumbai. We need to leave in the next hour"
manvi - "Okay virat, but shouldn't we tell everyone home?"
virat - "Just tell Ma. But no one else should find out anything okay"
Manvi went and called Vanshika. They were on their way back to Chandigardh. She was sitting in the car and as Manvi told her everything she couldn't control her tears. She cut the phone as she couldn't tell anyone as Manvi made her promise"
viren - "Ma is jeevika okay, why are you crying?"
Vanshika ignored Viren. She was so upset with her son and his behavior, but she knew that Viren wasn't like that in reality"
vanshika - "Nothin Viren, she's asleep right now"
viren - "But then why are you crying"
vanshika - "Can't help but think at what the poor girl is going through right now"
Back in Rishikesh everyone was getting their stuff ready as Jeevika was sleeping. She woke up again having another panic attack and Manvi ran to her.
manvi - "Di don't worry, I'm here with you. Shh don't cry"
jeevika - "Mannu don't take me back there please. Please Manvi I'm tired and lonely" she said as she hugged her sister.
manvi - "We're not going anywhere near them. But we have to go the Mumbai di. We need to get some tests done"
jeevika - "What tests Manvi?" she said all scared
manvi - "We need to make sure your baby is healthy. You didn't even tell your sister that she's going to be a masi? Do you know this is the biggest gift of my life"
jeevika - "Mannu no one cares for me anymore. And they all will take my baby away from me. Please mannu don't tell anyone, please. My baby is all I have now"
manvi - "That's not true di, you have me. You have Virat, beeji, Dabbu, chacha, chachi. Do you know how much jiju is worried for you"
jeevika - "Don't even talk about him Manvi. I can't stand him anymore"
manvi - "Di listen to me. He regrets saying everything. Think about it di. When you were upset with me for hiding my cancer, didn't you scream and get mad at me? Remember? Just like that jiju got scared when he saw Swamini Bua in such a bad state. He's sorry for what he's done. Your the biggest and bested thing that happened to him. Di you can't say everyone hates you. If you didn't get married to jiju, I would be with Virat. If I'm with him it's only because of you. You convinced everyone that I was a good choice for Virat and you gave me a second life"
jeevika - "Second life, but I'm still a murderer" she said crying.
manvi - "Shh di, you're not a murderer okay. Your a life saver. You make everyone's lives better. Do you know how miserable jiju has been the past few days without you? I was there. I saw him di"
jeevika - "No mannu, please mannu I can't and won't go back now. And no one will keep an eye on my baby"
manvi - "Okay but calm down now okay. Come get up and let's go. We have to leave now. Everyone is waiting for us outside.
