It's raining romance on television these days. As the script writer does the qwerty key pad type some wonderful mush moments, the tracks sure are getting laden with more mush. The tellyviewer has seen it all — romance unleashing the magic of love beneath the gossamer of the dupattas, cupid struck love birds caught in some romantic eye locking moments et al.

Now that former reel love birds Aamna Shariff and Rajeev Khandelwal light up the screen in a single episode of a new soap, here's a salute to some evergreen romantic couples of the soap box who have stayed in their viewers' hearts even after the show went air. A quick look at some top TV couples who will set the screen scorching again if they were roped in for another small screen turn.

Rajeev Khandelwal - Aamna Shariff
Even though their on screen love story went through a number of ups and downs, the sizzling equation between Sujal (Rajeev Khandelwal) and Kashish (Aamna Shariff) in Kahin To Hogamade many young hearts relate to them. Their comeback for a special episode in Aamna's current show has already created quite a buzz.

Karan Singh Grover - Shilpa Anand
Who said doctors can't fall in love? That's what Dr Armaan (Karan Singh Grover) and Dr Riddhima (Shilpa Anand) asked the viewers as they rode a romantic tale spin of a sort in the youth show Dil Mill Gayye. The couple's scorching on screen chemistry gave Karan and Shilpa overnight stardom and made them teenage heart throbs. The minute news of Barun taking 'a break from the show' became public it created such an upheaval amongst fans that they ensured the show was shut down on a happy note with the lead pair. With the song Rabba Ve taking the mush quotient up every time, this reel couple who've created some wonderful love sequences in the show. No wonder then their fans want them to return in a new show.

Karan Tacker - YashashriMashurkar
The cute love story of business tycoon meeting a simple girl through an accident clicked instantly with the audiences. While fate played wonders in this story, the wonderful onscreen equation between Shantanu (Karan Tacker) and Khanak (YashashriMashurkar) with some towel sequences, cosy moments in the show Rang Badalti Odhani created some magical moments on the show making them a favourite with the viewers.

Karan Kundra - Kritika Kamra
This is a perfect 'strong and reticent dude meets chirpy and bubbly girl' jodi. The couple, whose off-screen chemistry got reflected in the show which only upped the mush factor, ruled hearts inKitani Mohabbat Hai. They got back with season 2 of the show due to popular demand. Although the second season failed to create the same magic, viewers crave to watch the duo do wonders on screen.

Arjun Bijlani - Rati Pandey
Mayank and Nupur's sizzling chemistry in Miley Jab Hum Tum became the talk of the town, especially among youngsters in 2010. The soapbox saw a different high with this refreshing jodi starting off with fights and gradually falling in love with each other.

Harshad Chopra - Aditi Gupta
This was a filmi love story where the lead couple fought against all odds, traversed all boundaries to finally be together — in Kis Desh Me Hai Meraa Dil. Such was their on screen compatibility that fans fondly started calling them Harshiti. Producers and channels are deluged with emails from fans wanting to see this popular jodi back together.

Gurmeet Choudhary - DhrashtiDhami
A screen scorching pair, Mann Singh Khurana (Gurmeet Choudhary) and Geet (Dhrashti Dhami) became synonymous with romance with a number of lovey-dovey moments that set young hearts racing. Adding more oomph to their mush appeal were the romantic song sequences which grabbed millions of eyeballs and made them one of the most popular jodis ever. Their fans are still asking for a second installment of the same show, but the producer has gone on record to clarify that despite her best efforts it is 'unlikely'.

Karan Wahi - ShwetaGulati
They fought, they loved and they found their way into viewers' hearts. Tia (Shweta Gulati) and Ranveer's (Karan Wahi) teenage story in Remix enchanted youngsters for a whole year. In fact six years after the jodi sizzled, the producer and the channel had briefly toyed with the idea of bringing a second season on viewers' demands, until the stars moved on to other things.

This cute college romance created a niche for itself with the youth in Navya. Such was the chemistry between Shaheer and Soumya that the channel had to continue the show for two months even after it had been decided to pull it off air! ,
