Chapter 13~ Expect The Unexpected
We are taught not to lie since birth. For every little thing you get a warning about 'no lying'. So what is it that still makes us want to lie anyway? Well whatever it was, Armaan was about to be trapped in his own lie. He saw Anjali walk in carrying some awkwardness with her, which was quite obvious, because of how every second her eyes roamed around everywhere but not towards him. He had this tremendous urge to tell her he won't bite! Bite? What? No!! He slapped himself and tried get his game on. This was not how a host should be behaving. Making her feel comfortable should be more like it! "Err— so do you want drinks?" as soon as that came out of his mouth he practically felt like hammering himself. What the f**k dude? Did you just ask her DRINKS? Really..DRINKS?
Much to his inner trauma Anjali grinned at his 'drinks' remark. "I hope you don't mean THAT drinks" she smiled. He couldn't help but notice the baby pink color she was wearing touch her pinkish lips. Okay now that's extremely weird! What was up with her clothing colors and Armaan? "No..no that came out wrong sorry" he winced before waving his hands towards the kitchen. "So would like some tea?" internally Armaan prayed she would decline the offer like any other formal female guest would. Because right now if she said yes then he would have to freaking Google—'how to make Indian tea?'
Well, well looks like it's not Armaan's evening after all. He is about to fall into his master chef lie. "Yes thank you. Tea would be great," replied Anjali in her same pinkish smile. Why? Just why can't she act like a good guest and decline! He grumbled without making it look like he was in trouble. "Okay cool so what would you like, Darjeeling tea, French tea, lemon tea, peach tea" he rambled names that he himself had no idea about but how does it matter when Google knows it all!
"Uh. Plain Gingered Tea would be nice," she laughed at his tea making skills.
And what the hell is gingered tea? Oh boy Armaan in bigger trouble.

Early evenings of Delhi are always frustrating to shop in. Khushi had presumed it won't take her long to get back but the crowd was horrible. Only if that maniac Armaan had left his stupid television and helped her out with this. It could have been much faster! Grumbling and stamping her foot she proceeded towards her car praying the traffic wouldn't be hell out there.
Unlocking the car as she settled down, she could hear her phone beep. For a moment Khushi considered ignoring it to make Armaan sweat out about her safety. But then he might get the whole Delhi population to look for which would be much worst! While staring the engine she lifted the phone to her ear.
"I'm going to kill you when I get home" fired Khushi into the phone as loud she could.
"WHAT THE—"
What? Since when did Armaan inherit that line? No wait this isn't…
"Uh..um"
"If you had warned me before I would have kept an AK-47 ready for you" he groaned at the unwelcome greeting he was getting.
This is why! This is why Khushi you should have the brains to check the phone before answering!! She scolded herself.
"No please that wasn't intended for you" she softly replied knowing already who it was.
"I see. Well here I was thinking I'm the only person you ever wanted to murder. Clearly I was wrong", she could hear the tease in his voice and almost felt like banging her head on steering wheel.
"No your wrong. Even though you top the list"
"There's a list?" she smiled this time.
"Did you need anything Arnavji?" and suddenly he was brought back to reality. For few moments he forgot the reason he had called her for. Instead he had lost himself in a senseless conversation. Khushi was to be blamed since she stared it with threatening to kill him. Which reminded him whom was she referring to? She wasn't this carefree till she didn't know that person well.
"Arnavji? You there?"
"Ye-s. Uh.. Di. It's about Di, Nani said she went to invite you but her phone is not reachable" he hurried trying to focus back.
Oh no Di! She had forgotten about Di. Oh gosh Armaan and Di…
"Right yeah, I'm driving I'll ask her to call you back. Bye" Khushi hung up and realized she was holding her breath all along. But right now reaching home was more than necessary. This was global crisis!
Arnav stared at his phone puzzled. First his Di is been missing without any contact. Second Khushi wants to kill someone. Third she hung up on him. And fourth she is driving?

The global crisis Armaan was going through was most definitely worth watching. He struggled to decide how much water to put then how much milk. He had no idea whether they should be equally put or not. This was all Khushi's fault. Where the hell was she?
"You okay there, Master Chef?"
Armaan had never jumped up, out of surprise because he thought that only happened in books and movies but that theory right now was incorrect. He was close to dropping the kettle filled with water and milk upon hearing Anjali's voice from behind.
"Y-yeah yeahh give me two minutes," he nervously laughed. Hold on a second, did she just call me Master … Chef? Seriously?
A giggle almost spilled out of her when she saw him struggling; certainly he had no idea of what he was doing. It had been more than fifteens since he had been in the kitchen god knows doing what. Not that she didn't want to come and help but the sight of him running around the kitchen like a lost child was more fun.
"You know I hate to interrupt but I think you need to switch on the gas first before all those balancing of water and milk" she couldn't help smirking at him.
"Don't laugh" he snapped starling her.
"Don't you dare laugh ok? I don't know how to switch this damn thing on so don't—" before he could finish his threatening Armaan saw her clasping her mouth in a painful manner.
"Fine! Go ahead laugh all you want and then make the freaking tea yourself" he threw his hand up in a dramatic manner, which didn't help Anjali control what she was suppressing. She ended up bursting into pearls of laughter that showed each of her shiny teeth. It wasn't amusing that she was laughing at him at the moment, although he couldn't help but notice the childishness it contained.
"It's not funny", he muttered pouting like a little child.
"Oh plea— Ssstop" Anjali tried grasping air from all the unexpected laughter.
Wiping off tears from the side of her eyes she steadied herself even then, there was still a hint of smile on her face. "Give I'll make it not ONLY for me but for both of us" she shook her head with amusement when Armaan ran out to the corner giving her all the space.

Pictures, newspaper cut outs, Internet images all lay scattered on the polished wooden desk. It's not normal to have so many pictures until your researching about them. Much to our surprise, they are all of different people. Some show Arnav Singh Raizada in different business parties while some show Anjali Singh Raizada attending few charity functions. Some articles also show Payal and Akash Singh Raizada visiting the hospital. Well no doubt this collection was pointing out to the Raizada family but what is more attention grabbing is the recent photographs of Khushi Kumari Gupta and Amraan Saxena's post engagement party.
Who could be interested in both Raizada's as well as Khushi or Armaan?

"And this is how you switch the gas on" gestured Anjali proudly.
"Hmm looks easy to me," replied Armaan with his head bent on one side studying Anjali's each gesture carefully.
"That's because you have an excellent teacher" she joked and suddenly halted.
"You do make a good teacher Anjali not excellent though" he smiled back sensing her discomfort.
A quick thrill ran down her spine. Anjali? It had been a while since anyone called her that. The actual name. Everyone had a different version of calling her. It actually felt nice to hear it out loud. Nooo?! It doesn't! The stupid boy does not have manners..
"Can I ask you something Armaanji?" Anjali made sure to emphasize the 'ji' at the end.
"On one condition"
"Condition?"
"Yes stop with the 'JI' and you can ask anything" he shrugged.
"NO!" she almost dropped the sugar container "I mean no that's very ill mannered so no I'm not going to stop it" composing herself she began to spoon the sugar out.
"Why? I feel old when someone calls me that" he made a face which showed exactly what he meant. It had taken him weeks to convince Khushi to call him by only his name. It did make him feel pretty old.
"That's just how you see it, I see it as respect. Besides you should be calling me Anjaliji too" she gave him a stern look this time.
"Because your older than me?" he smirked.
"No. Yes. I mean yes and no" Anjali looked away knowing what he was tying to do.
"I don't know why you care about all these stuff so much Anjali. I am hardly two years younger and—"
"Your older than chote?" of all the things he said to her she caught that.
"Yes two years. You didn't know?"
"So your twenty eight?"
"And you thirty-one" he gave her a knowing smile which of course would make her blush.
"Hold on a second. How do you know my age?" her eyes were wide. Why does he know my age? He's smiling too..
Playtime does not usually last for a long time. Frustrating but we are always interrupted in between a very important conversation.
"Di? Armaan? Why are you both in the kitchen?" Khushi looked quizzically from Amraan to Anjali. To and fro. They both looked equally puzzled.
"DI why are you making tea?" was her next question, which went unanswered too.
Looks like lots of explaining are coming our way.
