Dont mind Ramas lekin hum samajhte hain ki aap bahut hi emotional type of person hain. There is a difference between real life and soap opera...in soap operas they have to cram a lot emotion and many situations in a matter of months and or couple of years that would otherwise take a life time to happen. See, in real life if not every husband is like Nahar, then not every wife is as docile, silent and forgiving as Saloni or Vidya from BMTD. We need to factor in a lot of things. The situations in Saat Phere are some of the down sides of a joint family system. They are bound to happen even in among the BEST of brothers. Of course, it feels worse in Saat Phere and other TV series because they are soap operas. The emotions are hightened ten times as much as they are in a Sanjay Bhansali or Karan Johar movie. I agree with you that it is disheartening to be around people like that...I lived with people like Dheer, Aditi and Kaveri for fifteen years. I'm happier now that we've changed continents. Of course, not everyone can change continents and yes Jiji is rather an irritating character.
That said, Jiji is also a very complex character. She reminds me of Severus Snape from the Harry Potter movies. So subtle, so calculating, so ambiguous and so crafty. The point of locus of that character lies in it's belief that what Jiji is doing is right and that she can achieve anything she puts her mind to no matter what the world thinks. Dont mind, but I blame the Singh parivar for their lack of implicit trust in each other, their impatience with each other and their lack of effective communication.
