Cheapness + Vulgarity = Bollywood award functions - Page 4

The stupid Indian award shows (be it for films or television) are so damn cheesy that it makes me sick. The standard of these award shows seems to decline every year with cheaper jokes and cringe inducing gags. To add to this, there is absolutely no sense of what is acceptable and what is not. And as far as what I've observed, Vidya is for some odd reason always picked on. The poor girl is ten times more successful than the losers who host these award shows and can probably act the pants off every God damn Khan, yet she is subjected to such pathetic public mockery. There is absolutely no class in these crass shows where everyone is trying to outdo each other in terms of who can behave like the biggest buffoon. Same old hosts, same bunch of lousy and cheap jokes, same edited expression of actors when their ex or arch rival is performing or receiving an award, same bunch of winners for the "Lifetime Achievement Award" year after year, same bunch of actresses jiggling around on their latest item song, same old over dramatized nautanki when Shahrukh/Salman/Akshay come to perform right at the end.

It is just absolute nonsense of the highest category...👎🏼

The joke was not even funny

The fault should go to the programmer & the script writer.these actors just ACT it

Agree the award functions have become cheap and disgusting..since last so many years all of them have had the same stupid Gay joke theme going on.it's getting on everyone's nerves.

I used to record FILMFARE awards on my VCR in early 90s and they had so much more quality and were really fun to watch.i didn't mind staying up late in the night just to see who won the best actor and actress.

Now there's hardly any suspense left and the WORST part is the editing.in one shot the actress was on stage receiving an award and the next second they showed her clapping for herself in the audience👎🏼
