It was nicely written. But I've to politely disagree with second half of your post.
I agree that you've written all this to justify what must have been in CVs mind when coming up with certain track time to time.
But if the makers really want their product to fall under 10% of television shows that are aired which have reputation among audience over next 1-2 decades, they should retain their characterizations and keep the story in tact despite actors availability.
Per my opinion, K's suicide track (A in GH is fine), Shyam's forced revelation with no coverage of all his deeds, K's OTT and A's Bday post remarriage, Sheetal and MrsIndia track along with Bubbly/Masala mama's tracks are not acceptable. similarly not writing interesting sequences for parallel leads- payash and Anjali is CVs mistake.
Anjali's role until payash marriage is nice and has depth. Payash tracks in Dec were nice. Sequences with 3 brothers were marvelous. Had they come with some interesting scenes like these, it would not be burdensome for Arshi/SaRun.
Specially after rewatching IPK, I can clearly say the team hasn't spent good amount of time in coming up with logical and interesting tracks across the cast except throwing SaRun scenes which managed the show since March.
If not planning about Baruns exit since Mar, but at the least he put down the papers in Sep and CVs have enough time to address gaps and plan his exit. You might get annoyed why I keep saying about a daughter to Arshi and continue the show as phase-2, but I think that would be the best possible way to continue the show by not messing up the original essence of the show and characterization. My other post detailing this alternative is copied here again.
Not foreseeing the uproar is not an excuse from PH and SP. If Barun, Sanaya are not out in the market to gauge their popularity, its fine. But it is SP and PHs responsibility and job to correctly evaluate their show's performance, strong and weak points and familiarize with improvisation aspects. Otherwise, every one amongst us who have money and written some good FFs can start a PH, but money and story writing alone will not suffice running a PH. Money and connections alone will not suffice running a channel.
Channel with the stature they have, they can use so many tools to evaluate their performance globally.
Had SP and PH look at this situation with a heart and some tools with right feedback in addition to TRP, it could have been better. Instead they just looked at previous statistics of actors leaving.
Channel should really have stronger fiction department who can think out of the box to introduce some new tools and they should also not interfere too much into story though timely checks and exercising veto powers with right fiction team at channel level are required.
PH should really be capable of maintaining their shows with same quality while they focus on new projects. If whats floating in IF is true that PH couldnt show what they started with, even then, they should be able to re-invent the wheel and keep the changed story and characterizations in tact rather losing interest altogether although we can understand the frustration for a person who is a writer by heart and soul.
Having said all this, I agree that audience also has some mistake partly specially when raising a voice for each and everything that is shown. Raising concern when assaulting the characterization is fine and need to do that.

I know that its futile to look back at already closed show but going thru posts for some days and LM's interview today, cant stop myself expressing this.
I dont know if concerned people really thought about the plan properly on Baruns exit. If he is trying to opt out of the show since Jun, they could have plan upon some post remarriage scenes to show arshis growing trust and relation with a logical revelation of Shyam's plan including Sashis recovery, and then plan on Khushi's pregnancy track with a daughter. All these tracks can be shown interestingly since remarriage and let Arnav and Khushi leave their infant daughter behind to Anjali or family to facilitate Baruns exit by Nov end and Sanayas break to start with NK and Anjali finding a soulmate and a few years leap with Sanaya as Arshis daughter.
Had they plan like this with a formal announcement in Oct, audience's uproar would be there for missing Arshi and Barun to an extent but that would be definitely much better than what happened now.
TRPs will definitely be affected for a while but the show can bring a different set of audience in addition to existing audience with a chance for hardcore arshi fans waning out, if tracks progress in reasonable way if not like in 2011.
LM talking about finding true love second time is I think he might want to do as a challenge but the whole essence of the show which they have been depicting from day1 thru their concept, innumerous scenes and dialogues with Arshi will go away.
Finding love again is something we see in real life but the reason this show captivated and taken audience to ride in dreams is because this is away from that stark reality and every person- be it a teenager, graduate, parent or a working professional would have dreamt of at one point of their life.
However convinced we are that Arshi has a happy ending, but all illogical tracks after remarriage with horrible Sheetal and MrsIndia track will always leave a bad taste to a beautiful show that is in our minds, specially when seeing restrospect posts from people on earlier scenes, episodes.
