Wonderful reviews so far Jyoti, Samana, and Kirthi. I will see the episode tonight and let everything sink in.
On the Ex's own psyche, I think I understand what you mean, Kirthi. While Shobha and Dubey certainly had a hand to play in the way he views and treats people, he is also his own entity once matured enough to make his own moral decisions and I personally won't be surprised if he has an inherent twistedness, traits that the Dubeys may have seen since childhood but didn't address.
ETA:
He has been a selfish man throughout. We heard from Shobha herself how he never even looked back when Dubey was on the verge of death, had there been an ounce of real goodness in him, he would. I think he was, is and will always be a hypocritical, mean person who is aware of only one thing - "SELF"

I also think his words about women were reflecting his actual belief, because he used to hit Aarti even before, and we have heard him abusing Aarti in an extremely derogatory way ( which suggests he treats women as inferior to men) previously also.

IA. What you've said here, Ria, runs along the lines of how I perceive him as well. Yes, Shobha made her own parenting mistakes, but the Ex has long reached the point of making his own moral choices and it does appear that the traits we see are inherent traits, an inherited twistedness like I said, that he himself has nurtured.

Shobha is at fault no doubt .. I do agree with Samana here .. at times we ourselves complained about how she is too preachy at times and forces her opinions on others and this might hv pissed off Prashant because he felt his opinions dont matter and he is forever supressed ...

But like Kirti and Ria said , Prashant too has his own set of faults ... unlike Yash who is still standing strong and on right path despite his father's opposition , Prashant does not hv that conviction , courage or belief in himself .. he was always a coward who needed a woman's help to stand properly ..When Shobha or Aarti dint give him the needed help , he found a Nida without judging the rights and wrongs ...

Faulty parenting not always makes a son bad or else Yash would hv been like Prashant only since his father SP too is an extreme like Shobha but Yash took the qualities of his mother here .. similarly if Prashant wanted he could hv taken the good qualities of his mother and tried to b a better and responsible man in life but he opted for the other way 🤔

@Kirthi: Not confusing at all! Actually this possibility of a psychological reason behind Prashant's behaviour makes a lot of sense and that only makes the situation all the more tragic. For some reason in today's episode, I can't get past that scene, even though the rest of the episode, especially the confrontation between Yash and SP, was fantastic. I too don't blame Shobha entirely, especially after reading your post, and completely agree that it was too late for Prashant to really find the light, but I think without meaning to, she did do a fair amount of damage. From what I can gather, she seems to have always begrudged Prashant not being the son she wanted and after watching that scene today, I can't help but think that on a very basic level, all of Prashant's behaviour comes down to him trying to get her love and approval and simply not seeing how. The latter is probably where Dubey fits into the picture, having always tried to make Prashant's path easy rather than correct.

I keep getting all these flashbacks of scenes, when he fell down on his knees and held on to her pallu after coming home from L'pur, begging her to let him stay with them for a few days, when he told her not to cry for him after his diagnosis, when he rushed to the hotel where Yash was confessing his love to get that photograph, all because Shobha believed in him at that moment. All he wanted, all he has ever craved seems to be a little affection from her. But instead of seeing that need in him and teaching him how to gain her respect and care, she spurned him every time he chose wrong. There was a huge void for maternal love in Prashant's life, one that Tayji filled neatly at exactly the worst moment. And that is the only thing I hold against Shobha. Deep down, Prashant too knew that Aarti couldn't be his and perhaps if Shobha had had that talk about finding someone new for him sooner, he might have been more reasonable and less rebellious and vindictive. I know Shobha did the best she could, given the circumstances and her personality, but it is so sad that it wasn't enough to save both her kids.

And of course, now I am left saying IF ONLY in capital letters.

Great takes and discussions. 😊
Your discussions on the influence of Shobha-Dupey on P psyche has inspired me to do a take on Prashant's reflections of Shoba and Dupey as parents - I may add it to my Tales of 3 Dads.
@Gemma
You brought up an excellent point!!

Not me my mom and for that she may get the dinner she lost in the bet about "Aarti leaving the house" after all😆😆😆

@Jac, exactly and why I am not surprised that you totally get it.😃

I am completely on board with the view that the Dubeys messed up somewhere but I have a hard time putting it all down to a messed up child rearing. And in all honesty the Dubeys probably did try and then gave up at some point. Again, this is all based on my interpretation of the story and the characters but Aarti must have felt like a beacon of light to the Dubeys with regards to Prashant, just like how Scindias saw her with regards to Yash. She was the wonder woman who would set things right.

With regards to Prashant, I totally see how things could have gone wrong to such a dire extent, if he was indeed having some psychological issues teamed with what looked like his mother's apathy or indifference towards him. And this is what I have been saying about MIttals. Their characters are so well written that when you look back you will see all the signs that lead up to where the character is now psychologically or emotionally and how the character has tried various means to maintain control over others:

Prashant hitting Aarti

Prashant threatening her with the same

Prashant threatening to take his parents to court

Prashant's absolute lack of curiosity regarding Ansh

Prashant's refusal to come to help Dubeys when Ansh was kidnapped

Prashant befriending an unassuming Yash and as result giving him power over Yash

Prashant's absolute disregard for boundaries with regards to Aarti

And then everything that followed''

What a marvelous episode... 😃

Amazing Depiction, Wonderful Direction, Brilliant Execution n Lovely Conceptualization...!! 👏 👍🏼

Well, all these adjectives fit perfectly for today's episode... 😊
what a package of an episode it was... 👏
perfect from every angle... 😃
and a definite ovation for the CVs... 👏 👏
They are leaving no stone unturned to keep the story gripping and moving... 👏

First of all talking in context to AarYa RELATIONSHIP:
I absolutely love the way CVs portray the relationship of Yash and Aarti...
Their emotions, weaknesses and strengths all go hand in hand... supporting each other.. living for each other.. understanding each other... and simply standing strong for each other...

In the morning.. when Aarti was scared and disturbed, Yash came to her rescue and stood strong beside her letting her know that God is with them and they will come out victorious of all these problems and Ansh will be with them... Yash said that Aarti's smile is his strength and that's what Aarti gave during the night scene... 😊
When Yash was worried .. anxiously playing that video game.. desperately trying to win it to feel within that he will be able to win Ansh's custody as well... Aarti was the one who strongly held his hand letting him know that he is the bestest Papa for Ansh in the world and all is going to be fine...

That prompt holding of hands by Aarti so was a symbolic reference that Yash has initially stood in the battle ground strongly and whenever he feels weak, Aarti is gonna be with him.. supporting him strongly because its their battle.. its their battle to keep their family together and provide Ansh a beautiful childhood... 😊 👍🏼

A beautiful scene with everything so natural and smooth and flowy..
A scene depicting love, strength, togetherness and tender feelings...
Beautiful... ❤️

Coming to the little light on YASH-ANSH:
Alright.. very honestly.. this is most beautiful, tender and soft relationship for me..
I just adore the portrayal of love and belief between these two...
This relationship of Yash-Ansh is just too endearing for me... ❤️

I loved how they showed Ansh playing a part in the video game win for Yash...
when one button was pressed by Ansh.. the other was pressed by Yash...
This was so symbolic of the fact that these two when together will win every game of life and bring about a smile and relief..

I loved that little detailing when Yash told Ansh that he will finish the game and sleep.. Yash was ruffling Ansh's hair.. This portrays the deep love that always when Yash is talking to Ansh, he lovingly ruffles his hair showing his love and that is another gesture that is definitely important for Ansh...
Then, I loved the other detailing when Ansh rested his head on Yash's shoulder while asking what game he was playing... This gesture can be taken in two contexts:
1. With all the heaviness on Ansh's heart and mind right now, he desperately needs his father's strength and love to heal that troubling wave in his heart... 😳
2. Ansh also shows his love and affection and closeness to Yash and lets him know that he loves his Papa a lot and always wants to be with him... 😊

This whole beauty of Yash-Ansh relationship is veru moving and beautiful for me... 😊 😳

Coming to the CLASH BETWEEN TWO FATHERS- Suraj Pratap Scindia vs. Yash Scindia:
I absolutely can stand up and give a huge applause for this particular clash scene...
it was such a gripping and thought-provoking scene...
It's a battle between two fathers.. one is standing to fight for his son but taking the wrong path while the other is standing to fight for his son but also for the truth..
A clash of the two faces of society as well..
It is said.. that there are two ways in life: one is the RIGHT way and the other is the EASY one..
Here.. Yash is on the right way.. while Papa S on the wrong and easier path...

In my view, it is much easier to envy and hate some one and take the wrong way to fight against that person but it is very difficult to forgive a person who has hurt you and give the person another chance to penetrate through your heart to gain your confidence and love..
Papa S is being the weaker one here.. he doesnt have the big heart to forgive Aarti for her mistake and accept her back but instead he takes the cruel and unethical way by emotionally hurting a child in order to get what he wants...

My heart went out for Yash seeing him shed those tears of disbelief seeing his righteous father being so wrong and cruel and cunning.. those tears showed how much he respected his father but somewhere what his father did, washes away that respect through these tears...

There's a funny irony I can feel here..
Papa S had said that he had spent his life earning respect in the society and Aarti destroyed that...
While the society wouldn't have known anything if he hadn't taken the drastic step, he loses the respect in earned from his son in this process of safeguarding his fake , so-called respect...
What an irony! LOOSING THE VERY RESPECT FOR WHICH THE FIGHT IS..!

It would be extremely interesting to see this clash amongst the two strongest characters of the show... 👍🏼 and after the episode and the way things are going, I very much feel that Yash will win the case...
but letz see... 😊

now... SHOBHA-PRASHANT ENCOUNTER:
Well, I would really want to applaud the CVs for this...
they brought the typical male-chauvinist through Prashant shouting out the message that such males forget the fact that the very woman they consider small to themselves are responsible of bringing them in this very world...
Like Prashant said that he had given Ansh to Aarti.. well, I loved the fact that Shobha said that Prashant himself is in the world because his mother, A WOMAN, gave birth to him.. and the son he talks about , has also come out from A WOMAN'S WOMB..

I actually felt like laughing on Prashant when he said that he is better than Yash in everything...
Well, like Yash said.. Prashant really has a bad memory... 😆

I loved that last dialogue from Shobha that now no one can save Prashant's destruction and Shobha's dialogues definitely nailed the fact that Prashant's destruction is on its way because he's flying too high ... 😛

Well, with this I come to the end of my longgg essay... 😆
but well, there was so much in the episode to talk about... 😃

Loved Loved Loved the episode... 😃
KUDOS TO THE WHOLE TEAM... 😃 👍🏼 👏

Love,
Abby!

Could they be speeding up this track because Vineet Raina is due to shoot for his 2nd schedule of some Bolywood movie in Gujarat.? I remember reading an article about this. I'm also wondering what will then remain to be shown once this track is over. Hope they not thinking of ending PV.😭

Woww another fantastic episode in a row 😲😲👏👏 .. I must say PV team is lucky to have such talented bunch of actors in the form of Gurmeet , Chetan , Kratika and Vineet all giving their heart and soul to the show ...👏👏👏..Today every single actor deserves standing ovation ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️...

Clash of the Titans .. SP vs Yash 😎

It wont b wrong to say that today was the ultimate clash of the titans between father and son as both hv a common agenda that is to get their son back but its just that their paths r different and so the ego clash 😎 .. While SP believes in sam dam dand bhed ..that is getting his son back by hook or by crook even if it means breaking his own son's family just because he wants to win in ego battle , We hv Yash who will always follow the path of truth and honesty to make sure his family remains united and no one dares to separate his son Ansh from him 👍🏼 ...Both fathers can fight tooth and nail for their son but the only difference is SP wants to get his son back by defeating another father(Yash) in the process while Yash wants his son back by simply choosing the path of truth because for him its not a competition where he wants to win or defeat someone else ..He just wants his son with him and can go to any extremes for this ...

Today Yash certainly got the shock of his life when he came to know that his father is plotting against him to defeat him in his son's custody battle 😭😭 ... Yash was so shocked that for few minutes he just dint say anything to SP but those tears rolling down from his eyes when he looks at SP in shock said it all 😭😭 ..Take a bow Gurmeet for such realistic acting 👏👏👏 ..I could literally feel his pain and emotions via his flawless silent expressions which clearly shows how a son today definitely felt defeated seeing this side of his father 😭😭 .. Those eyes of Yash are still haunting me when SP tells Yash that yes I m supporting Prashant because I want to win and Yash's stunned silence with those tears rolling down from his eyes in shock was heartbreaking 😭😭.. What superb acting by Gurmeet-Chetan ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ..

For the first time Yash felt as if this is not my father who is standing but some heartless ruler named Suraj Pratap Scindia who is standing and talking of snatching away my son in the name of his victory ... Yash was still in disbelief that his father could actually plot against him .. Not even in his worst nightmare he can think so since when he came to know that his father took 20lakhs from bank , he thought mayb its due to his mother's knee problem but that SMS of Prashant on SP's mobile was the final nail in coffin for Yash and this is where today SP actually lost that respect of his son ... In future his son Yash might forgive him but he wont b able to ever worship his father in same manner from here on .. Even if SP wins in his motive of separating Ansh from Yash , still he will b standing on loosing side because he just lost the respect of his son today with his selfish deed in the name of ego 👎🏼 ... Brilliant direction in the scene when Yash holds the Mobile and shows the SMS to SP with tears rolling down in anger from Yash's face and Chetan-Gurmeet once again take a bow ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ...

What I loved in the entire confrontation scene was the brilliant transition of Yash from being a shocked emotional son who just cant believe that his father is standing against him and supporting the wrong people 😭 to a strong determined father on a mission who has to get his son's custody at any cost not for his victory or anything but for the happiness of his own son and family 👍🏼... I repeat Gurmeet take a bow man 👏👏👏 And Chetan Pandit u r a powerhouse of talent here playing the egoistic shrewed father 👏👏👏

SP's main problem is his inner insecurity ..he cannot afford to loose the battle of principles from his own son 😊...

When Yash told SP that u r supporting a guy like Prashant who ditched his own parents , that time SP counter attacks Yash by telling him that look who is talking , u too ditched your own parents to support a outside woman ... In this particular scene I realised SP's main problem ... Its more about feeling insecure and trying to equalise with his son's fault by comitting a bigger fault to prove to his own self that I m superior and still the king of this jungle who cannot simply loose in front of his own son ...Its almost like telling his son "this is a battlefield and so tit for tat .. u supported the wrong woman and so your father will now support the wrong man to give u a taste of your own medicine " ... I feel pity here for SP more than getting angry because his insecurity is quite kiddish 😆...

SP is comparing chalk and cheese here .. Prashant ditched his parents for a random woman and Yash here never ditched his parents but just supported his own wife and not any random woman ... If Prashant had supported his wife in past like Yash is doing now , then Prashant's parents would hv been more than happy for it 😆... Cant SP realise this simple fact 😕😆...

As a elderly person SP should hv set an example of a ideal father but unfortunately this shows that not always your elders r right .. Just because they hv more experience does not mean that they can never do any kiddish mistakes and this blunder of SP is a real example ... Yash in future will never repeat this mistake of trying to compete with his own son because he has seen his father's blunders quite closely 😊

Yash venting out his frustration by trying to solve the puzzle game but his son Ansh has the ultimate solution for his father 😳😳

Coming to the game scene .. Brilliant symbolism once again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ... I loved the game scene because this is what we often do in real life too to vent out our inner frustrations and so anyone can easily connect to this scene and Yash's restless frame of mind 👏👏😊 Yash was venting out his frustration as well as suffocation by playing the puzzle wala game and that sweat on his forehead was so damn natural and realistic 👍🏼...Yash could not complete that puzzle game because his mind was all messed up after realising his father's real face .. He was feeling all defeated and just lost his way unable to finish the puzzle game when Ansh comes in Yash's rescue and presses that button to finish the game successfully 😃 which means tomorrow in court just when Yash will feel he might just loose the case to Prashant's manipulations , Ansh will stand up for his Yash papa and will give his verdict in Yash's favour thus making sure his superman papa never looses this life's all important game 👍🏼 ...

I also loved how Aarti motivates him by saying she too played this same game one night before their marriage and even though she felt she lost the game but next day she actually gave the world's best papa to Ansh in the form of Yash Scindia and thereby won the final game of her life .. awww ...😳 Yash and Aarti hv indeed come a long way 😳.. It was such a beautiful sight to see the way Aarti wipes off that sweat from his forehead .. such a simple scene yet so beautifully done .. how can Aarti sleep when Yash's mind and heart is so restless .. she provided him the much needed relief and support by sitting on his side 😳

Prashant .. a disgusting male chauvinist .. deserves to rot in hell 🤢🤢

Last but not the least Prashant.. the grt male Chauvinist 😡🤢🤢... well this guy needs to simply rot in hell when his definition of a man is so damn sick 😡😡 .. he feels he is a man because he gave a boy to Aarti whereas Yash gave birth to 2 girls .. yucckkk .. such cheap thought 🤢🤢... I m glad CVs showed these harsh facts of our society because to b honest this is the reason why today in India rape cases r increasing .. Its because of such men like Prashant who exists in our society and feels they r a man only if they give birth to a boy and then they hv their birth right on that woman .. chiii 🤢... Prashant dont need Ansh .. He actually needs Aarti to fulfill his own biological needs and so using Ansh as a weapon .. Such guys only deserve to rot in hell who cannot respect a woman ... the way he treats his own mother Shobha .. well Shobha is right vinash kaale viparit buddhi 🤢🤢...

I really want to see a disaster outcome of people like Prashant and that will give a good positive msg to our society too where if there is a Prashant then there is a Yash Scindia too ... But Vineet take a bow .. u were mindblowing today as an actor portraying the devil and I will love to hate him from now onwards 👍🏼 ..

Overall yet another power packed episode filled with some really good dramatic moments as the battle of 3 fathers continue to grip us in every single episode 👏👏👏👏

@ Samana,
I have a quick question about family dynamics regarding P's upbringing. I seem to be not really clear on who exactly was in charge of his upbringing. If Taiji was the head of household and took the raising of Prashant on herself then what exactly was Shoba's role in his raising? For some reason I felt that Prashant was raised in an extended family and Taiji seems to have cowed everyone in the house including Sattu. So if she indulged his whims and had everyone else doing the same where was the place for Shobha to parent?
