Chapter 2 - Moody Diva V/S Softy Khushi

As usual the office staffs panick as khushi enters office. Payal who was always agitated on khushi's arrival seemed not to realise the
presence of khushi.
Khushi: Payal! ... Payal!
Payal was startled by the sudden yelling of Khushi.
Payal: Yes Miss Gupta.. I was just...
Khushi: Care to stop dreaming & get back to work? Come to my cabin! Now!
The vision of payal gets blurry with the tears forming in her eyes.
Payal thinks: No payal. You have to get hold of yourself. For Bauji! For Amma!
She wipes her tears. Taking her notepad, she follows khushi to her cabin. Khushi dictates a letter but the non interest of payal irritates
khushi.
Khushi thinks: I've been talking since past 5 minutes and she's still in her dream world.
Khushi: Payal!
Payal comes back to reality.
Khushi: Get out! I don't have time to waste on stupid and useless people like you.
Khushi is surprised seeing tears coursing down payal's cheeks. Payal is used to her temper & rudeness. Now she is sure that Payal is upset
over some issues.
Khushi: Look Payal! Is there any problem?
Payal: My... My Buaji is not well. He is in hospital.
Khushi: Unbelievable! You are more stupid than i thought. There's something call leave permission. Anyways get out and don't come back till
your bauji gets well.
Shocked! Payal was shocked.
Payal thinks: Is She serious? Can't be! I misheard!
Khushi: Stop staring and Leave I said.
Payal: Sorry...
Khushi: Wait! which hospital is your bauji admitted?
Payal: City Hospital
Khushi takes out her blackberry & dials a number.
Khushi: Hello Dr Reynolds, Khushi Here... can you arrange for a room & an ambulance to transfer a patient, Mr Khanna, from city hospital to
bramwell clinic... Yes make it quick... And I want the best treatment for Mr Khanna... You can send the bills at my office.. Thank you
As soon as she disconnected the call she was shocked.
Khushi: What the!
Sobbing payal took her into an embrace.
Khushi: You truly need to get back your senses. Its confirmed you lost your mind.
Leaving Khushi's embrace, Payal was so moved on with all the emotions that her tears kept on going.
Payal: Thank you Miss Gupta, Thank you so much... I owe you my life... Bauji and Amma is everything I have.
Khushi: Its ok, Relax. Now go get your stuffs & Bryan will drive you to the hospital.
Payal: Ok.. Thank you once again Miss Gupta.
Payal was on her way out, when
Khushi: Payal!
Payal: Yes Miss Gupta!
Khushi: Don't repeat it again!
Payal: Repeat?
Khushi: That hug thing.
Payal: I... I am Sorry
Khushi: Fine but Take it as a warning. Don't do it again or you are fired. Now Leave!
She turned and left Khushi's office. Mr Khanna was admitted to Bramwell Clinic and after two weeks he was discharged . During these days,
Khushi always asked her about her Bauji and if he's been taking his medicines and all. After this, Payal respects Khushi a lot. She knows
that Khushi is not the heartless human being she always pretends to be. She never heard about the Gupta family. But One values relationship
& family when they miss it. And she knew Khushi was lonely but never cared about it before as she a felt a cold person like khushi gupta
deserves her loneliness.
Flashback Ends
Payal gets back to reality when she hears the loud noises outside. Khushi is irritated with the traffic & worried for the meeting. Even if
she is happy with the constant success of her company, being associated with J K Finance would bring her a higher status globally. Rumours
say that Anshika Khurana is getting married within few months and with the sudden call of Mr Khurana, Khushi is more than ready to sign
that Millions worth contract.As they reach J K Finance premises, Khushi is already late by 10 minutes. As she enters the office of Mr
Khurana,
Khushi: Hello Mr Khurana, I apologise for being so late.
J K: Don't worry Lady, I know the traffic in NYC.take a seat. ASR, please meet the designer I was talking about.
As ASR disconnects his call and turns around, Khushi's smile froze and the smirk of ASR disappeared.
ASR: Oh Shit!
Khushi: Oh Crap! Not him ! Not Again!
Precap: ASR thinks: What a funny situation! Drama Queen!
