What began as a disagreement linked to Mahadev & Sons has now snowballed into a much larger public fallout, with old television industry conflicts resurfacing once again. After producer Saurabh Tewari and actress Manasi Salvi found themselves at the centre of controversy, producer Pearl Grey has now entered the discussion and openly sided with Tewari.

Speaking about the matter recently, Pearl alleged that her own professional association with Manasi during Doli Armaano Ki had also been turbulent. Bringing up her past experience, she claimed that handling situations with the actress had become extremely challenging during the show’s run.Backing Saurabh amid the ongoing debate, Pearl stated, “Manasi had troubled me too during the time of Doli Armaano Ki.” According to her, similar concerns had allegedly been raised by other producers in the television fraternity as well.

The producer further recalled that Manasi joined the show after actress Neha Marda exited post the storyline leap. Pearl alleged that the actress was uncomfortable with the mother’s role she had to portray and often expressed resistance towards it. Describing the atmosphere on set as tense, she labelled Manasi as “moody” and additionally claimed that she had “instigated other co actors, including Kunal Karan Kapoor, against me.”

Pearl also spoke about disruptions that she alleged affected the production process. According to her, the actress had once formally informed the team about her decision to quit by giving a month’s notice. However, she alleged that matters worsened later when she reportedly stopped attending shoots. Sharing his experience, Pearl said, “It was torture; Manasi harassed me a lot. She would halt shoots.”

He further claimed that there were times when she would allegedly threaten to skip shooting schedules or leave midway, creating difficulties for the makers while planning scenes and schedules. Even while criticising the actress, Pearl acknowledged that conflicts between actors and producers are not uncommon in the entertainment industry, though he felt “she did not need to go to the media.”

Soon after Pearl’s statements gained traction online, Manasi appeared to respond in her own way through social media. Without mentioning anyone directly, the actress uploaded a strongly worded Instagram Story that many interpreted as an indirect reaction to the allegations.

Her post read, “Since silence is not classy enough for the crassly, the communication has to be in the only crude language that they can comprehend.”

The actress did not stop there. She also reshared multiple old media reports connected to Doli Armaano Ki from 2015 and 2016. These reports reportedly focused on allegations of unpaid dues involving cast and crew members working on the show. Some of them mentioned that several technicians and actors had allegedly approached CINTAA over pending payments.

In another post that appeared to contain a direct dig at Pearl Grey, Manasi wrote, “To refresh someone’s GREY matter,” while resharing the old reports online. She further added, “Since the producer did not have money, it was settled at 60%, and 40% had to be forfeited. All records are available.”
