Is Aamir Bollywood's Dicaprio?

Don't u think its the same case with Aamir Khan as well? He is a really good actor to begin with, has an amazing script sense and seldom compromises on quality..Now dont mention his flops cos am not talking about his boxoffice pull..The fact that Aamir doesn't care about awards is no excuse either.He has won the Best Actor for Raja Hindustani, Lagaan and RDB at Filmfare but never won a National Award..And i honestly feel he was brilliant in several other films like QSQT, Dil hai ki Maanta Nahi, Hum Hai Raahi Pyaar Ke, Sarfarosh, Andaz Apna Apna etc..Infact the guy has been getting recognition only after he delivered blockbusters like Ghajini and 3 Idiots..Now when Sharukh can win for DTPH, Sallu can win for Dabangg and Hrithik can win for Dhoom 2,why is poor Aamir being left out? The pattern continues with Talaash as well as has been mentioned in another topic..I personally loved the film and thought it was one of the better movies of 2012..And Aamir delivered a good performance as well..It was in noway inferior to SRK's performance in JTHJ or Salman's in Dabangg 2..Yet the other two receive recognition while Aamir is left in the lurch..Dont u guys feel the same?

P.S..I feel its the same case with Ajay as well..He is an extremely versatile actor and has delivered powerhouse performances(Zakhm anyone?) but has never received the acknowledment he deserves..

I wouldn't say the actor that wins is "undeserving" b/c they do pick the top 5 performances even though there are like a 100 actors who played like a 1000 brilliant parts...ex: Hugh Darcy as Adam (hello!), but sometimes it's a pity win. Like I love Sandra Bullock but I think she won b/c everyone knew she probably wasn't ever gonna get nominated again b/c she's more of a rom-com gal then a dramatic actress. But Meryl Streep alway gets a nom for something but hardly ever wins b/c they can't give it to her every time...there's some shady business that goes around in the Oscars too. But I'm pissed as hell that he and Ben Affleck were snubbed this year and Michael Fassbender was snubbed last year. However, the Oscars are nothing like Filmfare/Zee Cine/Star Screen where highly undeserving people get nominated. At least they got it right with the actresses this year: Sri Devi, PC for Barfi, Kareena for Heroine, Vidya for kahani--amazing performances!

As for th comparison...well Aamir doesnt get thse awards cz he doesnt believe in them...not because nobody appreciates his acting

but for Leo...he attends them all whenever he is nominated

Same with Aamir..i still think he was awesome in Rangeela..His performance in that movie was a notch above most of his recent flicks..Sadly he was never acknowledged enough for that performance
