I am a huge DiCaprio fan, love the man for his versatility , but i feel it is a bit unfortunate that whenever he is up for it , there is some other classic performance which is more deserving. He is like Meryl Streep and that comparison should do him good! I could never understand why and how Sandra won over Meryl!

Though he should have won for Departed and What eating Gilbert Grape he was absolutely brilliant. There is honesty in his performances, i see with Great Gatsby and Wall street coming up he has a good solid chance this time. Another factor that works against him is that most of his movies are with Martin Scorsese and Tarantino , they are not that favorable with the jury.

This year Bradley Cooper was brilliant but its Daniel D Lewis award, he was beyond as Lincoln!

I would never compare my Leo with Aamir, for National Awards i will be honest, dont watch regional films to understand the fairness but to see that usually they keep the Bollywood crazies away exception being arjun rampal winning the award, i favor their opinion! No Doubt Aamir is brilliant but when u don't have Nasser or Paresh Rawal winning awards for their brilliance then we should not affirm much faith in their credibility. And Aamir has boycotted them so its a two way street!

I agree--it was a pity win b/c Sandra wasn't gonna get nominated again--I love her but she's not the best actress in the world. Oh well! Some things never make sense, but I still love her, Meryl, Leo, and Tom.

Omg,guys pls dont think am comparing Leo with Aamir..Leo is beyond brilliant..am not even a fan of Aamir to begin with..The comparison was just with regard to their treatment at award shows.i do know Leo has had it tougher cos the poor thing actually attends them whenever he is nominated like someone else mentioned and has never questioned their credibility

The award system is always questionable and they are not credible for me...I don't know how they work...but as long as someone deserving wins its OK...this year the three top actresses are PC, Vidya and Sridevi...I know all of us will never agree on a single one out of them deserving the awards...the opinions will be varied...but anyone winning out of these three would mean fair in my opinion...a Kat winning over these three would be unfair...so I don't mind SRK winning over Ajay...or Ajay winning over Aamir...there acting is comparable...but if Sid wins over them it will be ridiculous...so unless these kind of things happen..I don't pay much attention to these awards to be honest..

Leo my favorite actor, The Academy Awards should just give him one after nominating him so many times 😆.

One of his best movies are Blood Diamond, Catch Me If You Can, Man In The Iron Mask, Shutter Island, Inception, Aviator etc. He has a great body of work.

Aamir Khan has snubbed these awards rightfully so, he was never given his due.

Ajay got recognition for Zakhm-he got national award and for legend of bhagat singh too! Aamir has also got recognition for his movies--in Talaash his performance was good but it wasn't an award worthy--Rani and Kareena should have been nominated though
I find Oscars really rubbish! Leo is an outstanding actor but Oscars have a vague formula of picking nominations and winners which I find a bit difficult to comprehend. If a movie like Inception can be ignored then I don't even know what to say🤢--it only won in effects/cinematography categories!

I agree that Leo is in a league of his own..i have high hopes from The Great Gatsby😳honestly when i see people questioning the credibility of the Indian awards, the Oscars are no different..they are definitely better but not exactly the perfect indicator of the best performance..i always felt Kate Winslet deserved to win for The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind..she was beyond brilliant in that movie..but she ended up winning for The Reader😆
Regarding Aamir, i completely agree with those talking about his performance in Rangeela..He and Urmila were outstanding..i just checked the Filmfare nominations for that year and its shocking to see that Aamir is nominated for Akele Hum Akele Tum and not Rangeela😕
