Err...Help requested...

Varali i am not very good at all these either. I use a simple online editor to make stuff.
As for the clippings. U do need the entire video and then make a Gif image from the clipping I think .
Hema chand are all the experts here. Hope they will be able to help u better.

For getting still shots, u could use movie maker and capture the shots. Or since i dont have one. I just pause the video and take a screen capture. then crop the picture.

Try using this s/w to make gifs - Its really easy to use nd making avis in this is much much much easier than Movie Maker,
