Hey everyone. I had a long wait in my doctor's surgery today ... and in that time - I wrote an OS😆. The title is : 1 MONTH OF BLISS😳☺️ - it is a MANVEER OS ( u just need to read further 😉).
AKASH had a passion for boxing and his favourite punching-bag was his wife , MANYATA. They were married for a total of 5 months but there wasn't a conjugal relation between the 2.
FLASHBACK TO A WEEK BEFORE THEIR WEDDING ...
"Bhaisahib ... hamare bete Akash , cororo mein ek hain. Poori duniya mein - mere bete jaise damaad apko nahin milega." Manyata's father smiled without saying anything. Maybe he knew where this conversation was leading to. "Bhaisahib - apko mere bete ke liya , ek motor-bike lana parega. Dekhiye - hum dehej nahin maang rahe hain ... sirf ek chottisi thofa , mere Akash ke liye." Manyata's father , Brijlal complied with their request ; much to Manyata's dissapproval. Their family could not afford these extra expenses. And besides ; she didn't like Akash at all. It was her parents who were over the moon about getting a son-in-law from Mumbai city. They sold their ancestral piece of land in Nainital , and with that money - they purchased a bike for Akash. By the end of that week ... Akash had married Manyata.
FLASHBACK TO THE WEDDING NIGHT ...
Manyata sat on the bed with her ghoonghat covering her head. Many hours had passed before Akash made his entry. He wobbled into the room ... it was obvious that the last few hours were spent drinking. He reeked of alcohol. He neared his new wife and removed her ghooghat. He got closer to her and whispered : "Tum apne pita se kaho ke hamare liya ek nayi flat dilado." Manyata fumed with anger. "Akash - do u think my father has a money-tree planted in his yard ... whereby your every demand will be fulfilled by him". Akash was about to say something, when Manyata stopped him : " Enough! That bike my parents gave u is MORE than enough. I'm NOT asking them for a flat for u!!!" Akash gave her a back-handed slap. A few droplets of blood flowed from the side of her mouth. "SHUT-UP BI**H ... don't u dare talk to me like that . I'm your husband , GODDAMNIT!!!" "Then ACT like a husband", Manyata retorted. Akash removed the belt from his trousers and started to belt her until she lost consciousness.
BACK TO THE PRESENT ...
Everyday has been the same ever since. Akash would tell her to ask her parents for something - she would refuse - then she would be beaten, almost to death. She never allowed him to have "relations" with her ... this angered him more ; thus - the torture became MORE BRUTAL.
Today ... she decided that enough was ENOUGH!!! She waited for Akash to go to work. As soon as her "witch-of-a-mother-in-law" went into the bathroom ... Manyata made a break for FREEDOM. She took her saasu-maa's purse and headed to the train station. She took a train that took her back to her parent's home in Nainital.
Once there ... she wasn't welcomed the way she hoped. Her parents were of the "old-fashioned" type. They scolded her for not coming with the son-in-law. After explaining to them of what she underwent in the last 5 months ... still ; she got a COLD response from them. They literally pushed her out of the door , saying : "Manyata- u are married now. You are not our responsibility any more. We are not going to interfere in your married life ... it's best if u go back to your husband." All the dark bruises on her body was ignored by her parents. This is NOT how she pictured her home-coming ... and going BACK HOME to Akash - was NEVER part of the plan. Dejected , she walked off. Her feet dragged her back to the train-station. She had no idea , where to go now.
She sat in a compartment in the train after buying a ticket to the place which is the last stop on this route. Where the actual destination was ... she knew not. In fact , she didn't even care.
Before the train could depart ... a very dashing, young soldier sat on the opposite bunk to her. He was about her age ... maybe a year older , he was dressed in an Indian army uniform. He carried a nap-sack over his shoulder. He was incredibly good-looking and to top that ... he was wearing sun-shades.
"Hi there" , he greeted her. Before she could decide on whether she should be talking to this stranger ... she greeted him back and flashed him a giant smile. He extended his hand to her : "My name is MAJOR UDAYVEER BHATTACHARYA". She also extended her hand to him and replied : "I'm Manyata". It was almost immediately that Uday spotted the bruises on her upper arm. From his reaction - she knew that he figured out her life-story.
She smiled at him nervously. He couldn't just drop what he saw - he had to ask : "I hope you killed him? " She burst out laughing , which caused him to laugh too. "No - but if u want to ... I could give you his address!" , she answered. Before long , Manyata ended up telling Uday EVERYTHING about how her life used to be ; and now , what it has become.
He was saddened when he heard her tell of how her parents reacted to it all. He expected them to do something. But still, she defended their actions : "Uday - they are the girl's side ... they have NO say." "That's Bull-sh** Manyata - India has evolved since those dark ages" . "I know - but for a poor family living in a hill-station ... life is still as it was in those dark ages!"
Manyata and Uday became friends very fast. When a vendor came on-board to sell some snacks - Uday bought quite a lot. Together the pair ate. They enjoyed each other's company immensely. Manyata felt a weird kind of closeness to Uday ... a feeling she NEVER felt before. Could it be love at first sight?
The night was bitterly cold. Manyata did not have anything to wrap over herself. All she had - was the clothes she was wearing ... that too ; was a very thin sari. She had fallen off to sleep but in her slumber , she felt her body shiver. All of a sudden ... something warm was put on top of her. It was a nice feeling - she cuddled more into it. The night passed.
Manyata was awakened by Uday. When she opened her eyes , she found herself wrapped in Uday's jacket. "This is my stop , Manyata" . She looked out of the window ... they had stopped at the prettiest place she ever saw. "Where are we? " , she asked. "Mount Abu . It's where my home is" , he replied. She removed his jacket ... thanked him for it , and said good-bye in the quietest of whispers.
"Where will u be going , Manyata?" "I don't know." "Come with me!" He didn't need to ask twice, Manyata held his hand and both exited at the station. Both walked for a distance, not leaving the other's hand. They passed a little temple. Uday pointed it out to Manyata. "Let's get married!" , he announced. With tear-filled eyes ; she nodded her head in affirmation.
The pandit present, chanted the mantra's and soon Uday & Manyata became ... Mr+Mrs Bhattacharya. They walked down the road to a small cottage which was Uday's home.
"Welcome home Mrs Bhattacharya". "Uday - we just got married ; but it's not legal, as I am STILL married to Akash" . He cupped her face and kissed her on the fore-head : "But , my dear wife - beside u and me ... NOBODY KNOWS THAT!" , he said with a smirk which caused Manyata to blush. "Manyata - I have to tell u something ... I never believed in love at first sight - that was up until I met u. I'm in love with you Dear. I fell in love with you the moment i saw u". "I also fell in love with u yesterday Uday - that's why when u asked me to marry u - i immediately agreed". Both hugged , and the hug went on for the longest time.
That night was their suhaag-raat and they celebrated it ... the way it should be done. Their loud moans and pleasurable screams filled the cottage. They made love many times that night ... too many to count. Actually , Manyata stopped counting after 6 times.
The entire month , thereafter; was like a honeymoon. Their shared everything about themselves with each other ... the good, the bad & the ugly. They chatted for hours without getting bored and without running out of conversation. They ate with each, feeding the other. They laughed until their stomachs ached ... and they loved each other as if it would be their last day together.
After exactly 30 days ... Uday got a letter , calling him back to the army. He hated to leave Manyata - but he had to serve his country. Manyata bid him farewell with a smile , but he could tell that the smile was a fake 1. He fought back his own tears & hugged her . He gave her the longest, most passionate kisses ever , before waving good-bye.
2 weeks later ... Manyata found out that she was with child; and within that same hour , she found out that Uday had been killed at the border. "Thank u Uday ... for sharing your life with me. Thank u for loving me. Thank u for giving me something to remember u by" , she said at his funeral.
4 YEARS LATER ...
"Momma - I don't want to leave you ", cried little UDAYAN. "My sweet baby ... u are NOT leaving me. U are going to school - it's your first day. Momma will be waiting right here for u when u finish the day." "U promise , Momma?" "Yes bacha ... I promise!" Udayan dissappeared into the school building. Manyata smiled to herself : " ... my every , single day is filled with love and happiness - because of u , Uday. Thank u for giving me that - 1 MONTH OF BLISS!!!
