Borna, if there was anything more beautiful than that episode itself, then it is reading how you saw the episode. By the way I was almost ready to take my magic broom and come over to you to see what is holding you up. 😃
After reading this I went and re-watched the episode for the nth time. It still gave me goosebumps just like it did when I watched it the first time. What an amazing week it was... I don't think any of us will ever forget it. Yash/Gurmeet was at his sarcastic best. And his anger or temporary fake hatred towards Aarti was so well done. Such a difference from the run of the mill in your face anger that we see on TV these days. And Aarti was ever the simmering JKR. Remorseful, hurt, in pain but never giving up without a fight. Kratika was absolutely phenomenal.
On another note, I think Mukesh sang the original 'O mere Sanam' song. I would have never believed it before but Mukesh's voice sounded so good for Yash/Gurmeet. And Gurmeet's expressions during that song was just 🤢 fabulous.
Kirthi, that first sentence is quite a shocker! 😆 I would not have written about the episode if it were not so beautiful, but thank you so much for responding to the ramblings with so much love! You have a magic broom? I think you should keep it handy...😉
Agreed! That week of episodes was truly amazing. One firecracker of an episode after another! I don't know how many times I've seen all five of those episodes. Too many times. And it's not the end of my viewings, that's for sure.
@blue: Yes! None of the in-your-face anger or yelling or aggressiveness...So refreshing! I was completely taken aback by the sarcasm and the veiled anger and pain in his eyes and voice! Gurmeet rose quite a few notches of my admiration meter because of that episode, but that was nothing compared to the other four episodes that followed! And Kratika...You summed it up wonderfully. We don't marvel for no reason at her ability to express subtleties in mannerisms so quickly...She may have had trouble catching the lyrics to lip-sync at first (I bet I would've been in the same boat if I were an actor) but my gosh, Aarti broke my heart in the episode! More on that in the other post, though...
Yes, it was Mukesh! And it was beautiful, I agree! I love the melodies from that era...Iconic singers and immortal voices! And if the actors can portray the emotions that flow within the songs they are lip-syncing to, it is such a wonderful viewing experience.
