Sanaya Irani & Avinash Sachdev may pair up in Life OK's new show

Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon's (IPKKND) fame Sanaya Iraniwill make her come back on TV with Life OK's upcoming show.

The new show is based on a unique love story of two individuals. Avinash Sachdev who is famous as Dev from the show Chhoti Bahu is supposed to play male lead opposite Sanaya Irani in the new show.

Avinash Sachdev was last seen in the show Teri Meri Love Stories. Sanaya Irani is already doing a cooking reality show Welcome on Life OK.

It is rumored that both Sanaya Irani and Avinash Sachdev have signed the contract for the new show.

If everything will go fine then fans will be soon see their favourite stars Avinash and Sanaya in the new show.

Good article and love the reference to A Clockwork Orange - gruesome scene is not the word!

Rape isn't about sex, it's about power. I agree with the passage where it highlights how the way women and men are portrayed doesn't exactly spell it out that when a woman or man (or girls and boys) means no, it means no.

But it is far, far too easy to point the finger at the media whenever there is rape, violence and any other societal affliction. Rape and crime in general is as old as prostitution. In fact I remember there was a thread in the BW forum where Hindi cinema was blamed for glamorizing sex and making men all 'lusty'. I just don't think it adds up. The problem is systemic and deep-rooted; the solution has to be an holistic one, the redresses cultural mores and beliefs (not religion!!) and the way women, men, children are perceived.

How we begin to do that I have no idea...

Thank for the article NB. Good read.

Media sensationalizing rape or any other crime is the single worst thing the media can do. But at the same time, media attention can often bring cases that were buried or overlooked, to be brought out into the spotlight..which is what's happening here in Ohio.

But I dont agree with a singer like Honey Singh given the boot as a way to help the problem. Its not his job to play mommy daddy to kids that shouldnt even be listening to his music.

I was saying this earlier, the justice system has too many loopholes for the offenders and too much red tape for the victims. The current case in Delhi or the one in Ohio may get some justice done bc of how much media attention its gotten, but fact remains, even living in a so called civilized era, justice is still pretty hard to come by.

I agree Bim, It's easy blaming the media, the movies, the actors...its hard just accepting the fact we're failing as a culture. In India and even in Pakistan, religion gives importance to respecting women yet in these countries they're treated as second class citizens.

When you have spiritual leaders trying to put the blame on the victim, that's not the media failing but us failing as a culture.

This kind of shit is more common than one would like to think in town that are heavily invested in their sports team... especially if its related to football.

Hmmm...yeah I heard about it - my sister and I were discussing it. There was an article in the Times in the UK where they were talking about the Dehli rape case and calling India disgusting etc. The Guardian then posted a counter article with the above rape case - in the U.S...

The highschool footballer culture can be aggressive...I mean they're encouraged to go on about sex, girls and beer sometimes and it's all about sexual conquests (though I'm sure it's not like that everywhere). It just depresses me you know? I'm not a feminist...but this kind of stuff is just the tip of the iceberg...

In the UK there were several cases where high paid soccer players were involved in rape cases - like the Ohio case, with several individuals tag-teaming some poor sloshed girl - who I'm sure just wanted a good time partying. But just because a girl goes out and does drink and parties does not make her a s**t!!

You're completely right - we're in the 'developed' world and women are still subject to utter degradation...often without justice...
