Rithvik digs phuchka over paani puri-TOI

Popular television actor, Rithvik Dhanjani, who gained popularity as Arjun in Pavitra Rishtavisited Kolkatta recently, donning the garb of the host of the reality show, India's Best Dramebaaz.

We caught up with him for a chat on what's keeping him busy these days.

"Abhi umar hai stress lene ki. I shoot in the morning for the serial, then I take a flight to whichever city we are auditioning in, and then again shoot till late."

It's the City of Joy that he loves to keep coming back to. "After having phuchka, I have started detesting paani puri. People here are also very warm. We were shooting at random crowded streets in Kolkata where we were surrounded by people wanting photographs and autographs."

Is he thinking of taking the leap to the big screen a la his Pavitra Rishtaco-star Sushant Singh Rajput, who plays one of the leads in Kai Po Che? "Every TV actor has a dream to reach where Sushant and Amit Saad have. It is on my calendar too. I am just waiting for the right time."

The actor, was also one of the top three contestants on Jhalak Dikkhla Jaa, and plays guitar in his free time. But he enjoys acting the most "I took up this show because the audience hasn't seen me anchoring yet," he said.
