If a movie works, praise the actors

If a movie flops, blame the director

This is the normal trend and people do not do it intentionally yet it happens. Sadly due respect for success of a movie is not given to the people who work behind the camera. Even at award shows nobodoy gives a damn about the technical awards and it's the actor nominations which catch the people's eye

I endorse Mogli's comments. It's sad but true

Well its India. That explains 96% of the total matter. we are emotional sentimental lot who spends way to much time on glossy package than actually stopping and pondering about the content inside. So we jump up and down for the stars. atleast, for bw, we do know the names of some directors, script writers, lyricists.

for tv, do we know anything or anyone other than the heroes and heroines? apart from maybe a couple of PH names?

Sites like IF , which are widely popular in tellydom can start maybe giving the people who do the actual job some popular recognition.

Ive seen this happen so many times. Recent one being Heroine. When it under-performed, everyone else except Kareena was blamed for its failure. Same people would be giving credit to one and only Kareena if it succeeded.

On topic, nothing else really left to say. Everyone has pretty much summed up everything.

I have a comment on this . It is because there are no consistent film makers in India apar from Rajkumar Hirani Karan Johar & maybe to an extent Imtiaz Ali

Yash Chopra is gone . Subhash Ghai is irrelevant. Rajkumar Santhoshi is nowhere his earlier level . Same for Ram Gopal Varma. Sanjay Bhansalli is not what he was 6 years back . Asatosh Gowariker hasn't made a good film in years . W*F is what's your Rashee . Farhan Akthar is gone . Zoya made 1 hit 1 flop so she is looked at wary . Aditya Chopra quit directing. Vishal Bhardwaj made good and bad films

Look at this years best films

Vicky Donor - debut film so he can't be terms as good

English Vinglish - same goes for her

Kahaani - this is from the same guy who made Aladin

Barfi- this guy made some good films but no one can forget Kites

I will not comment on Anurag Kashyap as I do not watch his films
