Wanna know what made Shah Rukh feel extra special?

Author Mushtaq Shiekh's book launch at a suburban hotel on Wednesday evening saw a electic mix of the social world attend from the badshah of Bollywood ShahRukh Khan and his stunning wife Gauri who were the star attractions of the evening to other film personalities like Jackie Shroff and even television stars. Shah Rukh was his inimitable humourous self and regaled the guests present with his witty one-liners as he humbly acknowledged that he was "too young to have a book written on him!" and that too by his close friend Mushtaq of many years. Mushtaq was teased mercilessly by all his friends and cat calls and loud guffaws resounded in the packed hall when he took the stage and made his emotional speech, 'Shiekhspeare' anyone??
Karan Johar surprised everyone as he was supposed to be in Europe and landed a day earlier in the city. Good timing Karan! Farhan Akhtar and he were seen in an animated discussion together. Hair stylists Adhuna Akhtar and Dilshad Pastakia were there too and no, they weren't taking about hair! A cake in the shape of Shah Rukh was cut and directors Karan, Aziz Mirza, Abbas Mustan, Farhan and Farah Khan joined in by cutting it with not knives, but swords! Shah Rukh quipped that all the directors on stage had given him hits... or else the sword would have been used for something else! Kim Sharma, Punam Sinha, Ajay Mago, Javed Akhtar, Rakesh Shrestha, Malaika Arora-Khan (in a green, shimmering sari) were other guests at the do. Deepika Padukone talked to Gauri Khan throughout the evening. The dominant dress code was black... and when it's Shah Rukh, it's gotta be black. Sajid Khan had everyone in splits as the compere of the evening. A warm and heartfelt evening this... and given the fact that Shah Rukh himself said he had not felt that special in all his life, was proof enough that it was one rocking party!
