I know that Tara is one of the hated characters on Saath Phere now. My analysis is based on a different perspective. Please give your views.

Tara was this caring and devoted elder bahu of Singh parivaar. All of us have seen how considerate she was to Saloni when latter was abused by Aditi. She was the one to ask Brijesh and Nahar to help Saloni and family at various crises they had earlier in the show. She was always pleasant. Then what changed her? Have we ever thought about that? In my opinion a person won't become childish and foolish all of a sudden.

1. Is it okay to just blame everything on Tara's childish behavior? Isn't there more to it?

2. Couldn't it be Tara's frustration from not having kids and insecurity that Nahar's waris will get all the property and Brijesh & her could be thrown out later?

3. Don't you think that she is mentally incapable now and instead of listening to her foolish plan like marrying Urvahsi, Brijesh should have taken her to a psychiatrist?

4. In India sudden changes in behavior is considered stupid and childish and going to a psychiatrist is almost never an option. What is your take on it?

All of us are entitled to our opinion. It would be good to see various takes on these queries.

its tara's frustration over not ever having a child..........also i think urvashi's influence has a lot to do with it...............meaning tara doesn't just see her as her older sister..but almost as a mom.......i guess as kids we can never see our mom do any harm to anyone...........they are usually right in our eyes.

That is a great viewpoint. I so agree with the highlighted part.

Yes Tara's behavior is mainly because of inability to have a child. Urvashi is taking advantage of her vunerability and constatly adding fuel to her insecurity. It hurts so much when you are uunable to become mother and some constantly reminds you that you are unable to have child. It is lot more painful as specially when you want it so bad. Also tara looks up to jiji like jiji is her role model . So thinks jiji will only do waht is best for me. We as a soceity do not beleive in going to psychatrists. So waht is inside never comes out. May be jiji always treated Tara this way when they were growing up. So Tara never grew up. When she got married Bhabho took care of everything. So she never got a chance of growing up. A dominating mother(elder) or a dominating wife takes away kids or husband's chance to grow up.

I think that in total desparation over not being able to have a child Tara has lost it and is lashing out at everyone in her family. Her sister has been the snake in the grass here though and just made things worse. The only question now is what kind of mother will Tara make in the paranoid state she's in??

her paranoid state is the result of something she is missing. if she ever becomes a mother and is not influenced by her evil sister then i am sure she will make a great mother. we must'nt forget that there was a tara who was pleasant and loving and cared about entire singh parivaar once. if aditi could turn white from shade grey then i am sure we can expect tara to be normal again.

Anjali, Quite a thorough analysis of Tara 👏

I think the writers jumbled up in the characterisation of Tara in reference to the Urvashi track. I wld blame Tara more than Urvashi for her reactions. Firstly its her family with whose members she bonded deeply incld Saloni. And also somewhere if someone is inciting us then deep inside we too want to do that. Otherwise the preachings wld have turned every listner into a saint! 🤔 .

She may have insecurities abt property which cld had been addressed by a legal agreement or some mutually agreeable arrangement. Yet she chose to become querulous one causing much unplesantness.

Going to a psychiatrist is still a stigma but with awareness prgs on radio and other media its being addressed professionally.
