Shaan pulls a fast one on Siddharth Kanna

TV viewers have already witnessed the pranks played by RJ Siddharth Kannan on co-actor Baba Sehgal on Zoom's Santa Banta Unlimited. But this time around tables turned on him when his real life friend singer Shaan adopted the same policy.

The naughty singer took a leaf from the film Sholay where Amitabh goes to Basanti's mausi and conveys Dharam's bad habits albeit as a loyal friend. Similar was his deed when during his recent trip to Chennai he met Sid's and casually told her, "Aunty, Sid is a great TV host, but it his chain smoking and drinking habits that worries me. He is a loving and humble person but has only about six to seven brawls a week. He is such a talented and busy guy, it is amazing how he manages to be out at the disco and hang around with girls till the wee hours every night."

This was enough to work up Sid's mother who went hysterical thinking her son had changed into a bad boy overnight. She mmediately called up Siddharth who was shocked beyond words when his mother reprimanded him for his spoilt lifestyle!

It was only later when his mother had calmed down that Sid tried to find out the truth, which turned out to be a prank played by his good friend Shaan. "A la Sholay style he tried to pull my leg by cooking and serving all my non-existent habits in front of my mom. I'm a Tam-Brahm, a teetotaler, non-smoker and am not even capable of hurting an ant, "clarifies Siddharth.

Shaan actually took quite some time to convince Sid's mom that it was a tall story. Siddharth laughs it off by saying, "We are very close to each other and I am always pulling Shaan's leg, this time he tried a fast one on me."

We guess playing practical jokes have become the order of the day for TV stars.
