Completely agree with ur point 1. Rest is fair enough but I guess CVs are not going to open all their cards so easily. It will come with time since they must be planning the show to run for some 2-3 years. Lets c.

Perfectly Said!! To Add more to your post: While the female lead has no dialogues. 🤢 🤣

Well @Cutieee1992...I noticed the criticism about this from you and others in the forum (the sticky thread) also on the main forum about the crying perhaps the makers of the show which are taking note of viewer feedback will make the necessary changes fairly soon...with the Rishbala misunderstanding coming up and maybe there will be a longer separation leading to the start of the heroine track also...so she will have more dialogues just keep saying it/criticising and it should happen.

Ananya, Soundarya, agreed.😳😆 Really wish this 'wait until 7 phere' wouldn't be dangling over the track like a Damoclean sword.Confused

Hi all

This is my first post in the Madhubala Forum though I am by no means new to IF. I have recently caught up with this fantastic show again and even though I watch regularly I dont forum. But today I have some lil things to say and since I dont have anywhere else to vent, this is the place I choose to do so. Let me begin with saying that while I appreciated the two beautiful Rishbala moments tonight, it wasnt what the show could do to me even a few weeks ago. There are a few reasons for this:

1) This focus on Shamsher-Padmini is boring and not to mention unnecessary. For the first time today I was agreeing with Trishna- why is Rishbala so hell bent on making them married? This is a couple who have spent the last twenty years( youth and middle age) supporting each other without any named rishta? So why is it suddenly so important to put a name to it? So they care for each other but do every man who cares abt a woman does so as a man shud care abt his wife- why not as a human, brother or even a friend? Why is it that Padmini- respectfully in her mid 40s have to justify her platonic relationship with Malik by attaching a married tag to it?

2) Every love story has a USP- If BALH is the sweet cute nok-jhok, Rishbala is the passion, the unrestrained love that blooms inspite of the obstacles- Now they are too sweet for their own good. Their dynamic has changed dramatically since the confession and not for the better. Instead of focusing on Madhu or Rk first touch, the initial awkwardness of acknowleged attraction or the teething in problems of a newly in love couple, we have had to watch the sage of the adarsh bahu and adarsh damad... which brings me to the next point.

3) I love RK - everyone does. And its not because of his golden heart, but because he was a truly complicated character with many layers.. Falling in love and confessing it doesnt change a person so very quickly and so dramatically. It doesnt automatically replace his insecurities for confidence. It doesnt take away his ambition or his possessiveness or his anger issues. So RK got slapped and went home smiling- does anyone remember how he acted when he last got slapped? Madhu's love isnt magic- it doesnt automatically cure RK of his destructve tendecies or alachohol issues.. Yes it could restore his trust issues but then not so quickly... So RK is no longer RK.

4) Mahu- theshow started with her being a tigeress- now she is a sheep which bleats out and cries- either as a darsh bahu or beti.. The characters are losing charm and its causing the show to gradually lose its charm.

I am not here to bash but I hope the cvs note this and make sure that Madhubala doesnt become another adarsh bahu-dawad saga...

Welcome to the MB forum, Neha.😃
Very well-presented points👏, though I disagree on some.😊

Why is it that Padmini- respectfully in her mid 40s have to justify her platonic relationship with Malik by attaching a married tag to it?
In big picture ...the focus on marraige serves many purposes...
1) RK is not against remarraige...hence his anger with Radha is not because he feels that she insulted his father's memory or that she remarried but more so with her choice for husband. He knows that Kuku is not a good husband and does not truly love Radha and that along with his mother still wanting to pusk Kuku down his throat and abandoning him is what makes him feel so betrayed.
2) It once again drives the point home that RK is astute and a good judge on underlying emotional currents. It also proves that he is ready to go beyond accepted limits of behaviour to accept and settle his inlaws. In some ways he has extended his protection to them and is striving to be a part of Madhu's family. He seems to envy the relationship that Maliks share and wants to be a part of it. This also proves that he is not playing some perverted plan to hurt Madhu later.
3)I agree not every relationship needs to have name - but the fact remains that Padmini and Shamsher do not share a sibling like or friend like relationship. What they feel for each other is much more intense- They have probably stuck to thier stands all these years because they did not want to risk losing what they had for what could have been. Only a concerned but astute outsider person could have brought up the issue and RK fits in those shoes. Besides marraige gives them much more legal rights over each other- if they were married, Ballu cannot drag Paddy away becuse Shamu would have right to protect her. If they are not married Paddy is fair game for Ballu. Would you rather that a couple spend thier entire life under an ambiguous relationship wondering what could have been or would you rather they accept what they feel for each other, get married and get all the social/legal/moral rights to each other?
4)It once again serves to set a roadblock in Ballu's plans. It also make Maliks indebted to RK for future plots. It might also be use to futher define the relationship between RK and Trishna. Besides Rk needs a proper reason to be involved in lives of Maliks when Ballu strikes. This marraige sets up a perfect scenario.
5)There are practical reasons for this plot, it focuses on supporting actors. If this show has to run for more than a year then they have to balance exposure between main couple and other characters. The idea is to use the tracks with side actors in such a way that eventually they add up contributing to the growth of main couple. I for one feel that the CVs are doing very well on that count.

Yes...I agree that the USP of show is passion...but how then how do you run a show for months that underlines passion without becoming stale. After a while eyelocks, falling-catching,hugs all are going to become boring. If RK reverts back to his beastly state with Madhu, viewers are going to be put off by the continuous negativity and how he mistreats Madhu. If Madhu keeps fighting him on everything then she comes across a fool who does not know how and when to pick a fight to her advantage. The CVs are balancing the sweetness with the help of side actors and tracks that focus on more than the couple. RK is still RK...he does not give in on everything but he is mellowed for now. He does not back off when Madhu gets angry with him for suggesting marraige, he did not just run to his mother's lap because Madhu suggested it. He does not cancel shoots to pamper Madhu. Once in a while his beastly side still rears head but he has calmed down for now. Something drastic has to happen for him to go back to his old ways. With so many negative shows on tube, I am happy with being in limbo where he is not hen pecked but then there are no contrived MU to pull the couple apart.

RK is a complicated character and that is the attraction of the show. He was always confident and self assured, he needed to be to succeed where he stood. Most actors are bonderline narcisstic and so is RK. However his unique background and intutive smartness has ensured that he remains grounded. He basks in adulation but it does not truly go to his head, it serves as a armour and weapon to get him what he wants. His only insecurity comes from the fact that he believes that he is destined to remain loveless. His insecurity is on show everytime Dipali pokes him or when he constantly reminds Madhu that she has to leave with him as promised. He still has anger issues with Ballu and Dipali. For now he is seeing a completely devoted Madhu with maybe ocaasional show of claws...he is satisfied with it. He has said that he has found a reason to live with Madhu's confession so he is trying to live to his fullest. His issues are going to come back in full force if fate tries to take Madhu away from him. In past the people themselves have been responsible for betraying him but it is going to kill him if he feels that Madhu is slipping away even though she loves him like crazy and wants to hold onto him. I do believe we are going to see some semblence of this track very soon. In his own words the pain is immensely more when someone pulls the cup away just when you are ready to take a sip.
Now about much hyped slap...when Madhu had slapped him, he thought Madhu was overreacting (which she was)...he did not particularly care for Madhu and Madhu did it in front of his crew which made him angry. Today's slap proved the point he was trying to make and he probably expected it. Also he understood the reason behind the slap. Coupled with the respect he feels for Paddy, he might have felt the shock but he had achieved what he set to do...so there was no anger but a sense of satisfaction hence the smile.
Madhu- now she is a sheep which bleats out and cries- either as a darsh bahu or beti.. The characters are losing charm and its causing the show to gradually lose its charm.

Fortunately or unfortunately they have not developed Madhu's character yet. For now she is a very young person who is completely in thrall of her enigmatic superstar husband. She is idealistic and brash. She does not understand the relationships and thier complications yet. In her eyes everything is either black or white...there is no grey. She has no understanding of love, darker passions or even betrayal. She has been pampered and protected in her family. While she has heard how evil her birth father is , she has never truly encountered it. You can see her simplicity in the way she deals with her inlaws and Dipali in particular.
She has a very complicated husband and she will need a backbone as well wits to deal with him
We will see how her character develops as the story progresses, for now I am not particularly happy with her naive characterization.

I am not here to bash but I hope the cvs note this and make sure that Madhubala doesnt become another adarsh bahu-dawad saga...
Everyone has thier own thoughts on how the story should progress and they are all right in thier own ways. I have seen several posts on how the show should be more passionate (I am assuming they are requesting more chemistry between couple on screen) or how it is high time there be a MU (I am not sure why negativity and seperation are considered the only way to move the story forward) or even how we should move onto Madhu becoming star phase. I am sure they are all coming in future tracks but the each of these tracks are long and will add a dimension to the characterization that is hard to take back. Once you have shown passion, there is no hesitation/innocence in thier interation. Once you have had a seperation, there is no way to get back fearless simplicity and dreams of long life together. Once Madhu becomes star, romance will cease to be the focus, we will move to drama territory and focus on external forces with romance as backdrop.
I am liking the slow momentum for now because it is placing building blocks for future tracks at the same time maintaining some level of curiosity.

Superb analysis.⭐️👏 Agree absolutely with your every point.😊
