For the longest time, I wrote in grey. The little whispers in the air...the silent words in my head...grey. When I wrote in black, I wrote for purpose.

Today, I write in grey.

P.S. Ambiguous as it may be, I promise it is based on Arjun. Just what or who, however, is open to interpretation.

Wow, I cannot thank you all enough for your replies! I truly appreciate each and every one of them; I was a little apprehensive about how this piece would go down.

As Lila said, there was an essence of loss here. In fact, I think that having and losing is the very essence of 'An Afterthought'. I'm really curious to know what or who you were all thinking of while reading this.

I don't want to go into my thoughts too much as I think that would ruin it but personally, while writing, I was thinking of Roshni and Arjun. So for me, this is about what happens to Arjun every night when everything melts away and he is left to face himself. In that respect, I don't think there is another part to this story. At least, not until I can envision a time when Arjun won't feel this way.

Thank you once again for making my day with your comments. The forum members are a large part of why I love writing for the show.
