What do you guys think, And i'm not trying to base this solely on Katrina Kaif even though that's my intention.. 😆
But seriously,
Do you think that if your a Bollywood actress, You should know how to speak fluent, if not a decent amount of Hindi?
If yes/no, Why?
And do you think you should make it big in Bollywood simply because of a bigger hero/heroine? For example Sonam Kapoor, Loads of people complain she can't act but got in because of her father. Do you think thats fair?

No not fair at all. But still is she getting film offers just because she is Anil's daughter not really, acting does matter... Everyone has to work hard or take dirty shortcuts 😆

If you're in Bollywood, you most def should know fluent Hindi.
Bollywood's main language is Hindi. Sure you should know English too, because that is the generation we are in. But the audience will not be able to connect with you if you are not fluent in Hindi. There is a reason many people dislike Katrina as an actress (I do not mean to offend fans. Simply stating an OPINION).

If you're in Hollywood, you most def should know fluent English.

If you're in a south Indian film, you most def should know the fluent language the film is in.

If you're in a Gujatrati film, you most def should be fairly fluent in Gujarati.

There simply is no ifs, buts, or ands at all.

And that goes for EVERY AND ANY actress or actor, not just Katrina.

As for Sonam's case, she most def has the right to pursue the career she wants. She has the right to at least TRY in Bollywood. Her not being able to act is merely an opinion of the majority of viewers (the same case with Katrina). But there are people out there who appreciate both of their acting as well. It is not Sonam's fault she is the daughter of Anil ji. If she wants to pursue this career, then by all means she has the right to no matter what. So what if her father is the Anil Kapoor. What I am against is parents pushing their children to pursue the same line as them. Every individual has the right to pursue their own career according their own choice.

I agree with you but I always feel bad that a stars daughter may have more easy access to become a Bollywood actress just because she's this or this so's daughter you know :( Even though I know what your saying 😆

Yes, but Katrina is the proof that you do not need. Its controversial.
I think if you have white skin and a beautiful smile than its fine if you can not speak Hindi, that is what Bollywood think.

We have recently experienced a rise in non-hindi speaking women and you know what? They are receiving Bollywood offers.

You can say your opinion , but does our opinion really count? Kat , one of the top heroines , can not speak Hindi , but this did not build a barrier for her.

But i also feel that we have seen a rise in actresses that are not related to bollywood families. like anushka , vidiya , deepu , lara dutta etc.😊
