WRWMK Character Sketches

Hey my fellow WRWMKians!!! The show is getting interesting day by day and I havent seen any character sketches or anything so I'll post one myself. I'm going to post a family tree later but I cant find any good softwares here. When I go home, I'll make the family tree.

Primary characters:-

Rani Goel (Reena Kapoor):

Rani was the main protagonist who's the youngest daughter of a very rich man, Yashavardan Bittal. She's the youngest of four sisters and has been doted by everyone. She's a very beautiful, delicate young woman who's sweet, sober and sacrificing.

Life takes her to a different path when she marries a middle class family. While adjusting to the middle class lifestyle, she learns the importance of food, clothing, shelter, etc. and becomes a woman in the right sense.

Sadly, after nearly a year, her affectionate husband, Raj Goel, dies in a motorbike accident. When she finds out that Raj's lookalike, Prince J. Thappar, accidentally killed Raj, she's furious. But when Prince donates his kidney to her brother-in-law, she forgives him and they soon get married. They have a very committed and romantic marriage.

Rani has a son, Aryan, but he gets kidnapped. After a few years, Rani's pregnant with Pari. She finds out she has a tumor in her uterus but she decides to risk her life to give Prince a child. Sadly, after giving birth to Pari, Rani dies.

Pari Thappar (also by Reena Kapoor):-

She's Rani and Prince's daughter. Pari's face and sweet personality very much resembles her mother. She's the modern version of Rani and she usually wears Indo-western type salwar kamis (before marriage).

Pari's an orphan and she's been raised by her mother's first mother-in-law, Surekha. Though she's often mentally tortured by her grandmother (Sheena), stepmother (Neha) and half-sister, Khushi, she's a happy girl who looks at things in a positive way.

Pari has a walking problem. When she was a child, a truck walked on her leg and since then, she couldn't bend her knee and is always seen limping. Pari's a talented artist and is studying in an art college. Recently, she married Saumya Parasher, her dad's ex-fiancee's son. Pari's dad's ex-fiancee wants revenge so she decides to torture Pari, who's a bahu in this house for only 40 days.

Raj Goel (Arjun Punjj):-

He was the male lead in the beginning of the show. He was Rani's first husband who truly loved her a lot. He's the third of four children and he's a mummy's boy. He's the son of a middle class family. Though his parents and siblings were mean to Rani at first, his heart was always with her. Sadly, he died in a motorbike accident.

Prince J. Thappar (also by Arjun Punjj):-

Prince is Raj's lookalike who accidentally bumped into his motorbike and killed him. He goes to the Goels house to apologise but they think he is Raj. He stays with them for a while. But Kamya (his fiancee) reveals who he really is. The Goels are furious that he killed Raj.

But one day, Manoj (Raj's bro) has a failed kidney so Prince donates his kidney. The Goels realise this extreme sacrifice so they forgive him and he and Rani get married. They have a very happy marriage. They have a son called Aryan but he gets kidnapped. Then Rani has a daughter called Pari but Rani dies. Prince marries Neha because he promised Rani (though he doesnt like Neha) and they had Khushi. Prince died because he couldn't bear Rani's death.

Ok here are the secondary character sketches.


Surekha Goel (Shagufta Ali):

She's Raj's mother and Rani's first mother-in-law. She's Rajendra's wife and the mother of four children: Manoj, Madhu, Raj and Saloni. When Raj married Rani, Surekha used to be a tough, fierce woman who ill-treated Rani because she didn't give any dowry.

But Rani eventually won Surekha's heart and she changed into a sweeter person. She was shattered after she lost her son, Raj in a motorbike accident. When she realised Prince killed him, she was furious but after he donated his kidney to her other son, Manoj, she forgave him and convinced Rani to marry him. She and Rajendra moved in to stay with the Thappars.

Even though JD likes her, Sheena and Neha want to get her out of the house. One day, Rajendra was killed by Sheena and Neha and Surekha was upset. After 9 months, Rani died after giving birth to her daughter, Pari. Surekha raised Pari throughout her whole childhood and gave her lots of motherly love.

JD Thappar (Anang Desai):

JD is Prince's father. He's a very rich industralist. His first wife (Prince's biological mum) died so he married the evil, conniving Sheena. He gave Prince a lot of luxury when he was a child but he didn't give him enough love.

JD hired Hari Kaka to be Prince's caretaker. JD used to be a greedy, miserly man who only cared about money, property and inheritance. But one day, he came to his senses and he gave Prince and Rani true fatherly love. He's a successful industrialist though sometimes Abhay Parasher tends to ruin his business. He was shattered when Prince and Rani died. Now, he's a grandfather who still works and dotes his 2 granddaughters, Pari and Khushi.

Sheena Thappar:

Sheena's JD's second wife and Prince's stepmother. She and JD had two children, Tania and Nick. She's a very evil and conniving woman who wants to kill Prince and get all of JD's property. She didn't like Rani either so she brought Neha to take Rani's place as the Thappar bahu. Sheena killed Surekha's husband, Rajendra, when he wanted expose her for her evil plan. Sheena was happy when Rani and Prince died but wasn't relieved when Pari grew into a beautiful, innocent young woman. She mentally tortures her. She's more fond of Khushi.

Kamya Parasher (Kamya Punjabi):-

Kamya used to be Prince's fiancee. Prince told her the story of him accidentally killing Raj and what not. She accepted the story but became later lost patience with Prince playing 'Raj'. She revealed that Prince killed Raj. Kamya was happy when Prince left the chawl and she started talking rubbish about Rani and the Goels. Prince noticed her horrible attitude so he dumped her.

Kamya sought revenge so she and her husband, Abhay, decided to ruin Prince and JD's business. Rani and Prince had a son so Kamya bribed a nurse and she kidnapped the baby. But that's not the end of the revenge. 20 years later, she asked Pari (Rani & Prince's daughter) to marry her son, Saumya. Until this day, Kamya is torturing Pari with the help of housemaid Chameli.

Khushi Thappar (Krishna Kohli):-

Khushi is Prince and Neha's daughter. She's the youngest in the Thappar household so she has been doted by everyone. Neha spoils her a lot and gives her what she wants. Even though Khushi is mean to Pari, Pari still loves her. Khushi found the man of her dreams in Rohit Mehra. She's so desperate to win his heart but he's friends with Pari. Pari sacrifices her love for Khushi and Khushi decides to marry Rohit. Khushi's the bahu of a middle class family and she's trying to get used to the middle class lifestyle though she hates to work.

Aryan Thappar:

Aryan (Aditiya) is Prince and Rani's son but he got kidnapped by Kamya and a nurse, Savitri, raised him since he was a baby. He thought Savitri was his real mother. His 'father' (Savitri's husband) is a thief so Aryan developed the horrible habit of stealing. He fell in love with the bubbly Ishana Parasher (Kamya's daughter) but he promised Savitri that he won't see her. But one day, Savitri goes to the temple and tells everyone that Adi is actually Prince and Rani's son and what not. So Aryan's living with the Thappars.

Saumya Parasher (Aamir Ali):-

Saumya is Abhay and Kamya's son. He's working in his dad's business and he's currently in love with Sanjana. According to his kundli, his first wife will die in 40 days but if he marries Sanju, she will die. So Kamya arranges him to marry Pari (Kamya's ex-fiance's daughter). His heart still belongs to Sanjana so he secretly goes to her and romances her. He hides it from Pari, making her curious.

Rohit Mehra (Ankur Nayyar):-

Rohit is a handsome boy from a middle class family in Pari and Khushi's college. He became friends with Pari but Khushi's in love with him. Rohit's in love with Muskaan, a character in Pari's poems. Pari introduces Khushi as Muskaan and he falls in love with her. They get married. But Khushi with her high class attitude tends to make things difficult for their household.
