Gods, be not so harsh
Every sinner has a future
and every saint a past.

Hey Priyanka,

No one is denied a future.. not even sinners...

But considering , if Gods decided to not forgive him... the above lines have been penned! 😊

For everytime you sin,
Your soul shall be battered....tainted...
And , so shall you remain.. forever....a tainted soul ...

You know Himali, I am a die hard fan of Harry Potter too and I love the idea of the soul being tainted and battered everytime we commit a sin...

I loved the idea of horcruxes... in an almost devlish way....

My inspiration for thepoem.. definetely not... but yes,... I feel its the soul that is the actuality and the reality and not the physical being and hence the essence of the soul in almost all my writings.. should I say all... of them..😊

One may redeem for the sins , in one life or more... the vedas and old holy texts state so..( Apologize for my ill knowledge of the vedas..)

But , consider this:

The sins may be evened out, but it wont remove the scars inflicted , with every sin. They are evened out and the soul be redeemed... but the soul may remain scarred, tainted...

Hence the lines:

Unredeemed for life...
Forever a tainted soul...

My thoughts.

I choose to differ, on this point Sarah... for as I understand...

Its our deeds that decide our karma, that is what redeems the soul or otherwise... The Karma is what is balanced or evened out in each of our lives ... and finally redeems the soul... paving way for what is called as the unision of soul with God.

But then yet, isnt the virtue of good and bad that decides our actions and deeds which decide the karma as well?

And then , in this case, isnt redemption of soul, karma dependent on deeds which are our acts themselves...I do not say flesh , and blood, but the very force( good or evil ) , the intention that drives us/ the acts/ the deeds... the intention to do good or do harm...

Correct me if I am wrong please...

Loved the post, but I too ask the question - is redemption possible? In the circumstances that the tainted soul has gone through, the trauma of loosing his destiny, of having believed all is lost, of loosing both his hope and trust, can one not believe that it is only when one reaches such a low in life that one commits the unthinkable? And in so doing - is he truly tainted beyond redemption?
