Mahabarath Article on Shaheer

Indian mythology is the current flavor of television world; well it's not that such shows were not made in the past as Doordarshan had successfully aired Ramayana and Mahabharata. However, there was a time when such shows had completely disappeared from the tube.

But thanks to Life OK's Devon Ke Dev Mahadev, which has surpassed all the other shows based on mythology, people have developed a new inclination towards such shows. Post Mahadev, we saw Zee TV coming up with Ramayana. Of late, Colors started off with Durga and the next in line is said to be the epic, Mahabharata. This ambitious project by Siddharth Kumar Tewary however, has been on hold since past three years.

But looks like time has come for it to see the daylight! The shoot has finally begun, with the two-week long first schedule happening in the outskirts of Jaisalmer.

A source said, "The details of the show are being kept under wraps. The war sequence is being shot. There is also buzz that the show will be a daily. The show, which is expected to go on air mid-2013, has a mix of newcomers and known faces."

Star Plus' Navya fame Shaheer Sheikh and Deblina Chatterjee of Sajda Tere Pyar Mein have been approached to play Arjun and Draupdi, respectively.

We just hope that nothing comes in between for the show!
