Talaash and K-786 are unlikely to make it to the 100 cr club

As mentioned last week Akshay Kumar's Khiladi 786 got off to a decent start in single screens across India and Talaash kept the multiplexes happy even in its second weekend.

Collections for Khiladi are average in India and overseas. The fate of Talaash is very good overseas and fair in India. However neither of these films have made a killing despite having two of the biggest names ' Aamir Khan and Akshay ' as their lead actor.

A trade source says, "Khiladi got a thumbs down; and whatever it collected is only on account of Akshay . But even he couldn't stretch his star power beyond a limit. As for Talaash, it evoked mixed reports from the beginning. Suspense films have a limited shelf life. Talaash was was a high-price acquisition for the studio that bankrolled it. So while the box office numbers are fairly good, the acquisition cost is too high for the studio to rejoice."

Talaash Third Week Box Office Collection 7.78 cr nett.

Talash has collected around 7.78 crore nett all India in its 3rd Weekend at the box office. It collected around 5.03 crore in 3rd Weekend and another 2.75 crore in 3rd Weekdays. Talaash total collection after 21 days is around 92.16 crore nett all India. It registered a drop of 53% from the 2nd week collections.

Talaash remained steady in 3rd weekend and as well as 3rd weekdays. Collections are decent considering the first week start, but below the standard of Aamir Khan starrer. Anyways, Talaash is a Hit at the box office. Regarding its lifetime collection, Talaash will wrap up around 94 crore nett mark which will be around 6 crore less than the 100 crore nett mark.

Collection Breakup -

1st Week - 67.69 cr nett.

2nd Week - 16.69 cr nett.
3rd Fri - 1.02 cr nett.
3rd Sat - 1.73 cr nett.
3rd Sun - 2.28 cr nett.
3rd Weekdays (Mo+Tu+We+Th) - 2.75 cr nett.

Total - 92.16 cr nett.
