A Rahat Fateh Ali Khan number is mandatory in Arbaaz Khan's Dabangg and Dabangg 2. This time too, music composers Sajid Wajid have lived up to the hype once again. After creating sensational music for Dabangg, Dabangg 2 features the soft and lyrical song Dagabaaz Re that has been picturized on Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha and which grows on to listeners immediately.
The Disco Song-
The music of Student of the Year is youthful, keeping the theme of the film in mind. And The Disco Song, a remixed version of Nazia Hassan's original with Benny Dayal on vocals, lives up to the spirit! Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhat and Siddharth Malhotra took the song a notch higher with their peppy moves and rocking grooves.
Po Po -
Ajay Devgn roped in Salman Khan to add the x factor to this song. But the song picturization still remains funny and even Salman could not do much. But the song in whole is one of the favourites of 2012.
Dreamum Wakepum-Rani and Prithviraj rocked the song and the lyrics itself were sensational, served in a typical South Indian style. Dreamum Wakeupum is one of the chartbusters of 2012.
Fevicol Se-
Kareena Kapoor and Salman Khan create heat in Dabangg 2's item song. A chubby Bebo and a fit Salman compliment each other well and although the film is yet to release, the song seems to be picking up, slowly but surely.
Pani Da-Ayushmann Khurrana sang and composed the song Paani Da, a soft number that made its way to the top in 2012. Way to go Ayushmann.
Ala Barfi-
Picturized on Ranbir Kapoor, Ala Barfi cutely showed the actor's true potential. Although Ranbir could not lip sync, his antics in the song had everyone glued to the song.
Chikni Chameli-
Katrina Kaif burned the dancing floor for this item number from Agneepath. As one of the record breaking chartbusters of 2012, Chikni Chameli was popular for its music, lyrics and of course, Kat's dance moves.
O womaniya-
Gangs of Wasseypur was Anurag Kasyap's path breaking film whose music was as lengthy as the film itself. With 14 songs, O Womaniya clearly stands out with its rustic feel and desi music.
Mala jau de-
Not exactly an item girl, Vidya Balan did justice to this popular song that rocked 2012 from the movie Ferrari Ki Sawaari. In a red nauvari saree, Vidya worked hard on her dance to get the lavani dance right. And all the hard work surely paid off.
