Was most disappointed with '10 SRGMP. they had 3 wonderful female singers and they could not crown even one?they were deserving too ! Abhilasha, Sniti and sugandha.

Sugandha should have taken part in this season. She would have been a hit😊

I have gone back and listened to Sugandha's all the classical raga renditions which I could find on YT...She is an amazing singer...Her comedy talent takes over by audiance but to me personally she is waaay better singer than any of her other talents she accquires...She defo is multi talented singer and a excellent one at many...God bless her..

BTW with all the talents she has a beautiful looks working for her too 😃

MA and Sugandha have been my favorites when it comes to classical music ...Vijay prakash was another one from old time..

Sugandha was my fav too in C2010 ... too bad she didn't win although I would've been equally glad if Abhilasha had won! 😭

Much as I love Abhilasha I was simply blown away once I heard Sugandha and I had another fav in the contest! 😳

As for why these talented girls are not winning competitions, I believe a lot of it has to do with the channel itself and nothing to do with the actual votes recd.

Every season, the channel looks for certain characteristics in a contestant and makes him/very rarely her the winner. This could be anything, a strong vote and hence money base, strong hype, strong support from a certain influential quarters, anything.

Vaishali had a lot of hype surrounding her which was really unfortunate as she is a supremely talented singer. IMHO she deserved the winner's 'topi' as much as anyone else in that season. The only point going against her would be that she entered in between.

One of the best female participants was Nihira Joshi of 2005 SaReGaMa contest. She fell prey to lack of 'Nakharas ' and dancing that became the expectations of the contestants. It was a sad day when she was eliminated. I was happy that another participant from Mr Darbar's group won, but Debojit was in my opinion less talented than Nihira. I still miss her. She certainly should have won in 2005.
