Geet Hui Sabse Parayi has no chance of returning back!

It was on December 14, 2012 that the very famous and highly loved show on Star One, Geet Hui Sabse Parayi aired its last episode with the leads Maan (Gurmeet Choudhary) and Geet (Drashti Dhami) leading a happy life with their baby.
The show got over and the channel was replaced by Life OK, however, the fans of the show are still waiting for Geet to make a return. Even at the time of ending, fans had demanded Star Plus to take over the show and continue with Geet-Maan's love tale. Many online campaigns were led by the fans to stop the show from going off air. But when that couldn't happen, they started demanding for its new season with the same lead. And if go by the words of a source then this might never happen.
One of the members from Geet's creative team says, "There is no chance of it coming back and the fans should finally move on." On being quizzed as to what made Geet such a hit, the source credited it to the wonderful script. The source said, "If you remember when this Four Lions Films' co-production first got going, it was not based on office romance and the setting was in Punjab. Gurmeet's look also was more casual. But this family track was not appreciated by the audience and we internally had to make changes keeping in mind that the audiences' taste. Hence, the story moved to Delhi and do did the subsequent corporate love stories. This really set the show ablaze."
Talking of the contribution made by the actors, the source added, "Let's face the fact; when Geet had started Drashti was just an ok actor in spite of doing Dil Mil Gayye and well, Guru had just done Ramayan. We told them exactly which range to perform in and they did just the same. Then a major change happened in Geet when the old creatives quit the channel. This was the time when the story control weakened, for newer folk always find it tough to get a grip on things and the actors ended up becoming more important than the script. Since then, Gurmeet has gone on to become one of the most well-paid actors on the idiot box and he and Drashti still publicly recognize the role of Geet in their careers."
It's indeed sad but one should never lose hope!
