PART 22

She got ready and walked out of hospital with NT. Dev and Maan were waiting for them in the parking lot.

Geet walked towards Dev's car and Dev opened the front door for her, she looked at him angrily and moves towards the back door.

Dev sighed and shook his head. Geet opened the door and was going to step in when she saw that there was no place to sit in, the backseat was full of soft toys, a cradle, and other baby stuffs.

NT came smiling towards her and said,

NT: voh, actually' Gappu hum log na subah yahan aane se pehle mall gaye the, shopping' baby ke liye' so can you please come with Maan.

Geet hear jumped with joy. She closed the door immediately and walked towards Maan's car without saying a word to NT.

NT wondered, 'isse kya ho gaya?'

Geet opened the door of the passenger seat and stepped inside. maan was already in the car, he looked towards her with his lids up.

Geet looked at his confused face and rolled her eyes and said, "Ab chalo bhi!"

Maan started the car and they moved out on the road behind Dev's car.

Maan was smiling looking at her from corner of his eyes, he was loving her cute gestures.

The painful screams and her crying face were still alive in his mind. His heart lurched thinking about her condition, his thoughts were broken by her sweet and cute voice,

Geet: Maan aapne iss car ka insurance karvaya h na?

Maan: Haan kyun?

Geet: Nhi kya pata kabhi koi accident ho jaye, so you know you need insurance money for repairing.

Maan: Geet tumhe itne bhayanak khayal aate kaha se hen?

Geet shrugged her shoulders and looked out of the window and Maan smiled and shook his head. The car stopped at a traffic signal.

A small girl was running on the footpath with a ball in her hand, Geet smiled looking at her. Suddenly the girl tripped on a pebble and fall down.

Geet shouted, "Maan voh ladhki!!!!!!!."

Maan looked at her panic face and then at the girl she was pointing at across the road.

He tried to calm her down saying "she will be fine Geet don't worry." He held her one hand and held her shoulder calming her.

A boy, aged about 14 years came to help the little girl. He seems like her brother and the girl started complaining about the pebble and how she tripped on it.

The boy made her stand on her feet and checked her knees, to see if she was hurt or not.

Maan said to Geet who was looking at them sweetly, "dekha uska bhai aa gaya usse sambhalne ke liye. She is looking fine. And Are you fine?"

She nodded her head positively. But that incident reminded of her past.

~~~~~~~~~ FLASHBACK ~~~~~~~~~

AROUND 13 years ago,

A little chubby girl is running in the park and giggling and smiling holding a football which is much more bigger than her hands, she was showing her tongue to a boy who was trying to catch her and was running behind her.

Boy: rukk ja Geet, Gir jayegi.

Suddenly she tripped on a stone and fell down on the ground hard and started crying. The boy saw her falling down and came running towards her.

He knelt down before her and patted her knee to clear the mud off.

Boy: Dekha gir gayi na!

Geet: Lag gyi, (sob) Virat (sob) mujhe lag gayi.

She said crying, The boy was Virat, he made her stand on her feet and took her home.

At home

Meera (Nt and geet's mom) was making NT's braid when she saw Geet crying and Virat trying to calm her down. Meera and Rano were best friends, just like sisters.

Meera always saw Geet as her own daughter, and when Rano and her husband passed away she decided to adopt Geet so she taked to her lawyer and also to Geet's grandparents who lived in Punjab.

At first they were reluctant, but Meera told them that they will nt be able to take care of her as at that time she needs a mother's love more than anything else.

They accepted and asked the lawyer to ready her adoption papers. Meera always loved her and adoption papers were just paperwork formalities for her. She took care of Geet till last day of her life.

Nt and Meera ran towards her and asked worriedly.

Meera: kya huya bacha? Aise kyun roo rahi h?

Geet was not even answering, she was crying profusely which made Virat angry and he shouted in irritation, "Shut up GEET!"

Geet looked at him scared, and again started crying. Meera gave an angry glare to Virat and asked him to keep quiet with her eyes, at which he made a face and sat on the sofa.

Meera: Arey mera bacha, kya huya mumma ko nhi bataogey.

She nodded and said in a cute tone: Meera mom, I was running in the park with his football, (she pointed towards Virat) and tripped on the pebble. His football is as stupid as him.

She made a angry face and continued: Ek toh mujhe chot laga, uppar se ullu mujhpar chilla raha h.

Virat's eyes popped out hearing her calling him an "Ullu" and he jumped out of the sofa and charged towards him with angry eyes.

Geet saw him coming towards her and clutched Meera tightly with her arms around her neck and make cute meek voice.

Meera: Virat! Stop scaring her. Geet you must be tired na bacha, chalo lets sleep ok.

She took Geet with her in the room and Geet stuck out her tongue before entering the room. Virat made a angry plump face and sat on the sofa angrily and Nt came towards him and asked: Bahut tang krti h na tujhe?

Virat: Aap to chup hi raho, hamesha statue ki tarah khade rehte ho jab Meera aunty mujhe dant ti hen.

Nt smiled and said: Arey virat you know na, Geet ke parents ki death abhi kuch mahino pehle hi huyi h. We are having a hard time handling her, that is why mom said ki jab tak Geet apne purane roop mein vapas nhi aa jati tab tak uski saari zarurten hume puri krni hen. Aur ek tu hi h jiske saath voh sabse zyada close h, hum logon ko chodkar.

(😉me thinking Nt uss age mein bhi itni samjhdar thi, kya baat h 😉!)

Virat was Geet's neighbour, he lived with his uncle, Raheem chacha. His parents died when he was a kid.

He is a very nice boy but short tempered. Rahim chachu was the only family he had, till the day Geet's family i.e. Meera, Nt and Geet shifted to the next house.
