You release Tere Naam in today's formats of plex n SS, then see what kind of money churner it would be, it will beat 3 Idiots for sure, plus when Tere Naam released, Salman was facing 2 cases in court, which effected his career from 1998 - 2007.

If Radhe is a character shown in a intense love story, u can't compare him with Prem of Ready or Lovely Singh from BodyGuard.

Mujhse Shaadi Karogi = Ready = Comparison

MPK = HAHK = HDDCS = Tere Naam = Comparison

Anyways...lets not talk about HAHK and HDDCS and his acting prowess in the same sentence...HAHK is essentially a Madhuri movie...she was a bigger star then, and the movie ran mainly because of her...And the movie didn't need any great acting skills anyways...

HDDCS...all you have to see is the climax scene...Didn't know if he was crying or laughing...It made me feel embarrassed for him...😕...

MPK...yes as a new comer he did well...He wasn't great...but he did well to make people notice him...

I will give your 1 film example = MPK released in 1989 on just 65 screens grossed 14 Cr Nett, now when u adjust inflation It is 66 Cr.

SINGLE SCREEN = Where Every Audience welcomed MPK n Make it biggest Debut ATBB.

Barfi = Only Audience of Multiplex which pay almost 3 times of Single Screen loved it 😕

Comparison dekh lo, a Film released in SS 23 years ago with a film released with 700 Screens in Plex + SS. In that 100 cr, if u minus 15 cr of SS, it will be 85 😆

He seems too much of copy of yesteryears stars.

Barfi to Wake Up Sid to even Ajab Gajab Prem!!!

He seems to have taken inspiration for each film from past. Like Barfi - he took Charlie Chaplin, Raj Kapoor and Mr Bean as his inspiration. And For APKGK he copied Aamir/Sallu style from AAA!!!!

Hrithik also stared like this but he never ended beating any Khans/Kumar or Devgn.

Even Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na was a success. That too a huge one.

Until unless Ranbir delivers an ATBB in next 2 years. Which is near impossible with Khans, Kumar and Devgn still being around? Even Roshan and Hashmi too.

In HDDCS his character was suppose to be like that ! immature and a loser ! thats the reason aish chose ajay over him ! If HAHK didnt need acting skills why did one of the most versalite actors, HR hammed and overracted like hell whlie playing the same character in MPKDH?? madhuri worked with other stars but why was only HAHK a ATBB of her career?? just cos he didnt get best actor award that doesnt mean he sucked IMO

There is the superstar Amitabh B and then there was superstar Rajesh Khanna...Rajesh Khanna had a craze for him like never seen before...but he was not able to graduate from the romantic roles to the character roles...on the other hand Big B...transitioned from the main leads to the character roles...the result was that even today Big B is going strong at the age of 70...The roles are especially written keeping him in mind and more ofetn than not he is more important than the leading man in the movie...if not he is as important atleast..

The three Khans...are almost 50 now...How long will they keep on doing what they are doing now...that is romancing and doing maar dhaad...they need to slowly transition into character roles like Big B did...otherwise within the next 5 years they will be gone like Rajesh Khanna...When Rajesh Khanna was at his peak..no one used to think about BW without him...same for AB Sr...BW seemed impossible without him...but it survived with RK and Big B as heroes...it will survive without the three Khans...although at the moment it seems unlikely...The main question is will the KHANS survive without transitioning into character roles..

Ranbir is a very good actor...only time will tell if he will succeed the KHANS...he may or he may not...because just being talented is no key to superstardom here in BW..

the prem in HAHK and MPKDH had the exact personalities ! Madhuri was a bigger star during HAHK and yes she had superhits but that film was not a normal hit like her other hits ! We never wanted to make it salman vs ranbir but if u guys talk sh*t abt salman do u expect us to keep quiet 🤪

HAHK was success coz of both Madz and Salman.

No one forgot about Prem from Maine Pyar Kiya. Before they went to watch this film,

Finally, Maine Pyar Kiya cam out of nowhere. Sooraj Barjatya was newcomer himself with MPK. Rajshri films became more recognisable. Even RajKumar Santoshi who made both Andaz Anpa Apna and APKGK still is remembered for his first film most.

Ranbir worked with few directors who Salman worked with before. Only difference they became famous with Salman films and faced no to barely any fame from Ranbirs films.
