lol .. good so you know my post and what I want to say better than myself ..
I challenge you to point out where did I implied that woman who were hejab better than the others who don't just becuase of the hejab?! I'm waiting ..

about your question about the Ideal , I don't know who is Farhat that you are talking about .. but if you want to know who is the 100% perfect Muslim girl I will tell you who is she :

Who never lie + never have an intimate relationship with a man + don't watch p*** or love scenes+ pray 5 times a days + fast Ramdan + never steal anything+ never drink alcohol + never talked about people in a bad way+ never cursed them+ never hurt anyone+ say the truth even at the cost of her self + honest ...etc .. all together

Which basically, no one is ideal.. I don't do many thing of the what the ideal Muslim should do..

Zoya is an average Muslim girl - there are NO ideal Muslim girls or Muslim people in this world. If the writers wnat to promote her as a positive image of what oculd be an ideal Muslim girl, then good for them. She's got some great values which I don't see in a lot of fellow Muslim sisters.

Well..for your first and second and third question..you just answered it yourself..because there are no ideal Muslim girls in today's world. Knowledge has expanded such that we ourselves wonder and question what ideal is..

If your read the hadith about Kadijah (RA) and Fatimah (RA) the prophet's (SAW) first wife and fourth daughter, they are the ideal women. So is Aiisha (RA). That said, I'm not saying the other wives and daughter's aren't. It's just not enough is known about them. Those women are the ideals we should follow. Women without flaws.

And if to be honest..if Zoya was wearing hijab, she still wouldn't be the ideal muslim woman in my opinion because to be frank her manners suck! And a guest should hold his host in utmost respect considering they're providing for them.
back to the point, Alia did not mean to say that just because Zoya doesn't wear hijab she's not ideal. she just said they're portraying Zoya as a girl with a strong mind and her own opinions who happens to not be wearing hijab. Big Deal. TBH I can't even make sense of this discussion..

And the fact she has not clarified what she means by "ideal" says it all.

Don't you notice that you are contradicting your self ?!!

You said that she average , so she is not Ideal , not 100% perfect just just as I said!!

and you said that there is no Ideal Muslim , so why Zoya, the fictional character, who is really not an ideal , should be considered as an Ideal !

I'm wearing Hejab, but I never considered my self better than who don't, nor I consider my self Ideal just because I wear Hejab. As I said before, the personality, the heart , the soul is MUCH MUCH important.

When I said Ideal Muslim girl,. I meant the girl who follow ALL the Islam guideline.. not who does I think is the Ideal !
and you don't have the right to accuse me just because you don't understand what I meant ..

any ways, you are contradicting your self, and your are judging my intention without a base.. so there is no mean to discuss with people who think that they are the only one who is right , and think that they can absorbingly know what people mean with their over smartness.

Hi,

The DT has mentioned MANY times that religion discussions are NOT allowed. And that's only because there are many times where people have different views on religion, and sometimes everything a character does in this show [it's a fictional show to add nonetheless] doesn't always follow the religion.

There are many reasons why Zoya wears the clothes she does and maybe, NONE of them have to do with religion. It's CULTURE. Culture plays a huge part of Zoya as she has been brought up in USA and not India.

So please remember, that it's NOT religion BUT culture which contributes to the person's personality most of the times. Religion is a set of beliefs which set the basic outline of who you are but it's the culture that adds the little things that contributes to your personality.

Why did you end your post with that statement that she should not be protrayed as the ideal Muslim girl or right? About what? Her dress sense? Come on! The writers weren't doing anything like this so why even suggest it unless YOU feared that they were doing this and because she was not wearing a headscarf that would be awful. And what do you mean that she is right? Right about what?
You give a lot of lecturing in your post and then you end with a well they can show her as a Muslim girl but not an ideal one or one who is right? According to who?

Honey, learn what a contradiction is. I am telling you that ideal people don't exist, so why were you talking about it as if the people of this show were doing it? Clearly you have ideal girls in your mind and of course these must be hijaab wearing right?
