even i was wondering the same...why was he mute in the first place...siddhi has her own reasons...her majboori game...but what abt kunal why was he quiet...i failed to understand

Yeah Rams, after reading the WU for last night's episode I had the same reaction as you. KC is so egotistical that he will not accept the truth even now, when his 9 year old son is sharing it with the whole world?😲 Why must it reach the point where his 9 year old sons have to take matters into their own hands and save their family? 😡In this show everyone - from Siddhi, to Vikram, to the kids, even Gaurav for crying out loud - has done something to help KC and improve his life. Except KC himself.🤢 This is certainly a show about KC's second innings - if you think of him as an Indian batsman playing a test😛 The second innings is worse than the first, which was not great either😛

I agree Ram's CV's have with unmatched talent managed to screw Mr Kunal Chopra over.🤢 He is not being portrayed as a principled man but rather as a weak , self obsessed human being,a man who refuses to see beyond his nose.😡

Ramya, I saw an episode on tv after 3 weeks and this is what I get!😡 I was so shocked with Kunal's reaction when his 9 yr old revealed to the world that his dad has not filed for divorce!🤢 Really Kunal? How come you let the psycho lay his hands on your wife in B'lore right after she confessed that she loves only you? How come you let that psycho propose to your wife knowing she is your legally wedded wife?😡😡 And why are you not using that point in court to gain custody of your kids? Even when your son is spilling the truth, you try to stop him.. why? You even went to the extent of lying to the court that you have signed the divorce papers?😡🤢

what could kunal have told her?..." k you wanted have a divorce with me 9 years ago but i am so stuck up on you that i coudnt even sign on the dam divorce papers n since ur my legal wife u cnt stay with abhay even if you say you love him n want to be with him..bcoz i still love you should be with me"... what kind of a person would he be then?since here we know siddhi was forced into it we wanted him to take her away saying ur my legal wife...would we like it to be the same way had we not known of this majboori game??an man forcing his wife(who thinks she is divorced) to stay with him on legal grounds even if the woman loves somebody else??

I think what has happened is that somewhere along the way they have changed genres & made this a children's show. The audience ranted against a saas bahu show, Samir Soni too had shown his displeasure against it being turned into one, so they switched it into a children's show instead.

The way it stands right now, it reeks of a pantomime production...like a badly drafted fairy tale... it's filled to the brim with witches & villains, ugly siblings, god-mothers, there is a pretty but unhappy princess & a pauper prince & 2 pubertal kids playing Sherlock & Watson.
If they could add some finer touches, like Siddhi's hair growing like Rapunzel's while she is locked up in the tower, or providing Vikram with wings & a magic wand as he flits in like the tooth fairy or show KC's nose growing longer with every lie he utters, it would fare a lot better as a children's show, perhaps in an earlier time slot.

Looking at certain things in retrospect, I think Kunal's muteness comes from the fact that Mr. Chopra believes only what he sees and what he hears. He thinks what is in front of his eyes is the truth and can never essentially read through peoples lies and farce and this is all the more surprising considering he is a lawyer and I am certain that with their training and years of experience, lawyers do develop an instinct that allows them to see beyond just the evidence that is right in front of their eyes. I clearly remember the episode where Siddhi was disturbed during Raveena's engagement and Kunal questioned her about it and even said that "Main tumhari khamoshi padh sakta hoon", literally, saying that he can read her silence and understand what she does not say but since then, I have never seen Kunal be able to read through Siddhi this clearly.

In a relationship, you go through so many ups and downs that you come to understand your partner inside out and can very well judge what he or she, is or is not capable of doing but somehow that does not reflect in Kunal Siddhi's relationship. Why does Siddhi have to spell out everything for Kunal? For once, why can he not understand her plight without the need for continuous confessions on her part? At the wedding, Siddhi was stoic when she said she loved Abhay, compare that to the desperation, the sincerity, the fear in Siddhi's words and actions when she confessed her love to Kunal at the terrace of the hotel and then the train, how can Kunal not see through this? Mind you, I blame Siddhi as well, Kunal did question her and he was desperate to know the truth but she went ahead and lied as usual, but I wished Kunal would read in between the lines, read through her stonelike demeanor and be willing to take action because how many times can you misunderstand a person? And forget reading between the lines, now he cannot seem to even take action based on what is in front of him, when he saw Abhay strangling Siddhi, how I wished he had knocked the daylights out of Abhay and taken Siddhi away from him, but obviously that does not happen because Kunal Chopra clearly believes Siddhi's lies about Abhay's so called 'love'. C'mon Kunal, Abhay was clearly trying to physically harm Siddhi, how could you not tell? Siddhi will keep lying and lying and lying and you seem to not have enough mental capacity to see through her farce? Even your mother, your kids realize that Siddhi could have had some ''majboori" but you, who claims to be so totally and madly in love with her cannot? Is this a joke?

And yes, we all saw how a 9 year old had to bring up the issue of Kunal and Siddhi still being married according to the law. I was hoping beyond hope that when Kunal saw that Siddhi was helping him get Anand's custody and then he saw Abhay strangling her he would come to realize things were not as they seemed, would then decide on finding out Abhay's reality and eventually pull Siddhi out of that hell by claiming she was still his wife in the eyes of the law because he never divorced her. When Kunal was so keen on finding out Vineet's past to help Richa, then how is he not capable of doing the same now when he has himself witnessed Abhay's abuse and also sensed that something is not right? At least the kids spoke up and took action, Kunal simply has moments where his tubelight flickers about something being wrong but he does not act on it and then he continues to rebuke Siddhi?

It is disappointing on some levels to see the way Kunal's character fluctuates from here to there. His character is meant to be much more stronger and much more intelligent than the way it is portrayed currently but it seems the writers do not care for that. Somehow everyone in Parichay land can understand Siddhi's plight without her having to scream it out from the rooftops but our dearest gold medalist will continue to only believe what he can see/hear, then sit and mope over his fate. What kind of a man is Kunal? Seriously?
