The harm that SLB can do is that the judges vote count for 50%. As the competition gets more intense and tight that 50% will make a huge difference between someone being out and someone moving on. Eventually, as the pairs dwindle down to 2 or 3, his arbitrary points could prevent a deserving pair from winning. That's the harm he can do. For example, if someone gets 20 points and someone else gets 25 points due to judge incompetence, this huge gap in points ( a 20-25% difference) could negate a 5 percent difference in voting where the couple getting 20 points could have received higher public votes. So, judges will play an increasing important role as the competition gets tighter and intense.
