Samay: Conservative husband / Liberal bro

Hey Friends,

All this week, we witnessed Samay's double standards when it comes to his wife and his sisters... He is a very liberal brother but a very conservative husband...

When Rusty dressed up in that western outfit and came down to the party with a drink in her hand, Samay was very upset... However, we saw earlier how he defended his sister's style of dressing and he never said anything to Sweety when she was trying to force the drink down Rusty's throat right after the wedding... Do you think his behavior is justified? Why such a difference in mentality when it comes to his wife?

Do you think that men in real life have such double standards when it comes to their wife and sisters? If you look around you, what do you see? Has their mentality changed over time or are they still very conservative?

What's your personal take on men's conservativeness... Do you think it is a good thing and gives one a sense of protection or does it mean that one is being controlled and have no freedom of themselves?

I think the issue of dress is not that black and white. I often wonder that the type of relationships play a big role as to how usually people behave during this type of circumstances. It's difficult for people to visualize their parents, siblings and children as sexual beings. So how they dress most of the time get unnoticed. But for spouses/girlfriends…. it's not the case. Jealousy and over protectiveness is there as well. But I believe the relationship is the main thing that usually put a blinder on guys in general.

i kmow right the BEAUTY AND THE VERY SEXY BEAST 😊 i really like it to just hope rusty realizes it soon. being a bro and husband it different i guess. u juts have differ feelings like my bro in india he let me wear american clothes when i go there but he won't let my babhi wear anything except punjabi or sarees. i guess that after marriage things change for girls so bro are more lieral thinking that my sis has to wear all this after marriage so y not let her waear wat she wants

I guess I will refrain from talking about how enjoy watching Samay being all possessive about Rusty. Kind of enjoy it on television. I would probably be annoyed in real life. Let's face it. None of us would have married Samay under the conditions that Rusty did. There had to have been another way.

Samay's character is pretty narrow minded. He doesn't see that his siblings are imbecils, but spends all his time fuming over Rusty. Actually, he is really narrow minded. He marries a girl who doesn't even love him. Yup, he is a beast. Chalo, let's see if Beauty can tame the Beast.

Dear, we are not talkng about his looks here... We are discussing his behavior...

he does have double standards but i think his behaviour is differnt because of how the relationships differ wife and sister, older brothers are like father figures and they ususally want their sisters to be happy, but in terms of wife they can easily get jealous
also i found it kind of funny how you used Conservative / Liberal considering that samay is suppose to be from canada and those are the two main political parties of canada 😆

Actually I am not sure if Samay is really a conservative husband. The circumstances under which he married Rusty were not normal. It could be he thinks that Rusty is all set to take revenge and to retaliate he may have become narrow minded and hence portrayed as conservative. I think if he had a normal marriage he would not have minded his wife drinking or dressed up like his siblings. I am not saying that his liberal behavior is justified. His siblings are just way out of line due to him spoiling them instead of guiding them as a big brother .

After Rusty has pointed out his siblings faults he has seen the truth in them and has understood that he was wrong and hence tried to help his siblings. So I do not think he is a double standards he just doing what many would have done put under these different circumstances
