I liked Stelena in the initial phase of TVD too. But over the time I have come to realize that love should be unconditional, just the way Delena have. And not conditional like what Stelena have. Because coming to Damon and Stefan, Damon was and always will be the better man!!

If Damon was the better guy, he should have come out and at least shown some gratitude towards Stefan, but no his eyes were all the time at Elena. Don't tell me this is a part of Damon's better side.

I must say, I am not a Stelena fan, it ended for me a long time back. But I am a Stefan fan.. it's because of him and Klaroline that I watch TVD. So for me Stefan will always be the better guy!

Hey. Thanks for the appreciation and for sharing your point of view too. But I don't completely agree with the points that you've mentioned.

1. Stefan is not a saint, we all know that, but he himself does not accept it. My main problem with Stefan now is that he is afraid to accept who he is. Atleast Damon has the courage to own his flaws and accept them. And this is why I admire Damon because he straight out expresses what he actually feels, be it about himself or about others. Every Vampire has a shade of grey in them, if others can live with that fact, so can Stefan. And no Damon is not being portrayed as negative at all. He is just being what he actually is. A Vampire! And at the same time, he is letting his human side be the guy that Elena has fallen in love with. So for me, he might be the only balanced character in the show so far.

2. Damon didn't really change. He always made it very clear that he doesn't change for anybody. This side of him was buried within him all along. He just chose to give it a chance at coming out now. That is the thing with Elena and Damon. They don't want to change anything about each other and have accepted each other exactly the way they are. Elena still fell for Damon any way, even if he was good or bad. Which is why I find their love more pure and deeper than that of Stefan and Elena. Stefan only loved the human Elena. Damon loves both the Human and Vampire within her.
Stefan didn't accept to turn into a ripper. He was unable to control the ripper within him to unleash, hence the result was what we all saw in Season 3. Both the brothers have saved the other one plenty of times. You can't deny the fact that Damon has saved Stefan too. He gave up Elena for him willingly too. Isn't that proof enough? But Stefan couldn't do the same when Elena chose Damon. And about gratitude, don't you remember how Damon worked day and night to track Stefan down in Season 3 and bring him back home to Elena? He didn't give up on his brother. So yes I do see a better side of him. Because if this wasn't, than I don't what is. He knew once Stefan came back, Elena would go to him, but it still didn't stop him from finding his brother. Of course Stefan was off the rails by that time and refused to come. And let's not forget, Stefan is the reason Damon is a Vampire.
As I said, there is good and bad in everybody, it depends on the way people see it and how you yourself live with it.

There was a time I liked Stefan too, but not anymore. No matter how hard he tries to be a good guy, he just can never be one. No Vampire is good, and the sooner he accepts it the better. Calling Damon bad won't turn Stefan into a better guy would it?

P.S: Oh I am rooting for Klarloline too
