I don't think Prithvi is dumb either and I agree there is a difference. Where you are brought up definitely makes a difference in being able to trick people. When you live in a small place like Prithvi does you know everyone around you so you know what they are like and your are less likely to have someone try to pull the wool over your eyes like Meera did to get into the haveli. It's something he wasn't expecting as he does not know her.

I do think the shradh will be stopped but what reason Ramdhari will give for not attending is what remains to be seen. Having seen today's epi and knowing that Bittu is in the ICU we know she's not going to show up but if that hadn't have happened I still don't know whether she would have personally shown up because of what happened 20 years ago may prevent her from personally coming there. However, I do think she would have sent Aakash in her place to bring Meera back if she knew as no one would no him there.

Guess I have to wait until tomorrow to see if the shradh takes place (if they get that far in the epi that is, could be extended for another epi or two as wel).
